Outfit Ideas For Every Type Of Thanksgiving
It’s almost November which means Thanksgiving is right around the corner. No matter what your plans are, there are plenty of adorable outfit ideas for every type of occasion. Here are just a few!
For the Feast
Is it just me or did everyone just come for the food?! I know that I will most certainly pull a Jennifer Lawrence when I walk through the doors – keeping my eyes on the prize (the food, obviously).
The key to my Thanksgiving outfit is having enough wiggle room to take on the epic proportions of mashed potatoes I will be consuming. A pair of leggings and a cute oversize sweatshirt should do the trick!

For the Big Game
On the other hand, there are those who’s main focus on Thanksgiving is the football game. At my house, the game it pretty much the only thing that matters. Everyone may be eating, but you can guarantee the TV will always be on so we can cheer along with our fellow fans at the stadium. If you’re all about the sports on Thanksgiving, try one of these outfit ideas: a pair of jeans or jeggings coupled with your team’s jersey or simply play up your own style with your team’s colors!

For the Formal Dinner
Is your Thanksgiving more of the dress up kind? Going to a nice place? Meeting your boy’s family for the first time? Take this as a great opportunity to try some outfit ideas showing off the season’s hottest trends. Try a dress with ankle books and tights or leggings to keep you warm. Cover up with a chunky cardigan and accessorize with a cute bag and a bulky scarf. If you feel like wearing jeans, dress them up with a nice blazer and a statement necklace.

For Friendsgiving
If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving with your friends (or even with your family in a more casual setting), this is a great chance to flaunt your style. Take a walk on the wild side, literally. Leopard is a neutral pattern that gives the right amount of print to an outfit. For a preppier outfit idea, pair your leopard flats with a solid sweater and collard shirt underneath, then complete the look with a chunky necklace. If you’re feeling more adventurous, go for a leopard print scarf, or even go all out with a fashionable long line sweater. Try not to wear more than one piece with animal print or you’ll end up looking like an actual leopard!

For Patio Dining
In case you missed it, October 21st was the “Back to the Future” anniversary and, well, that’s not the only thing coming back to the future…or in this case, present. The puffer vest, made popular in the early 2000s, is a huge trend this season. So for those of you who plan on dining outside in the brisk fall air, why not try donning a stylish puffer vest. You won’t have to cover up your entire outfit with a coat, but you’ll stay nice and warm with the added layer. You can easily style it with a flannel shirt and leggings or jeans. Don’t be afraid to mix different prints. You can also try a fur vest, they keep you warm and stylish, perfect for the holiday. As Marty McFly would say, “Whoa, Doc that’s Heavy!”
