One-Piece Bathing Suits You’ll Love
Hello summer and hello one-piece bathing suits!
If you’re anything like me, you don’t always feel comfortable wearing bathing suits and in reality, many women don’t. For me, although confidence and being comfortable with my body is key, truth is, I don’t always feel that way. I’m not perfect, no one is. I’ve learned that loving who we are and our bodies takes time and that is more than okay. If I did have to choose between a one-piece bathing suit or two, it honestly would have to be one pieces and I will give a list why:
One-piece bathing suits provide better protection from the sun
You may love to get all tan for the summer, but sometimes the rays can just be too harmful and with two-piece bathing suits, you’re more exposed to the sun than you are with one-pieces. Let’s be real: sunburns HURT like crazy if you’re not applying sunscreen repeatedly because of the amount of skin that is shown. That’s why one-piece bathing suits can provide you much better protection.
They’re cheaper (most of the time)
I have my fair share of bikinis (both one-piece and two) and what I have learned from over the years purchasing them from different brands is that one-piece bathing suits can oftentimes be cheaper than two-piece bikinis. With two-pieces you almost always have to purchase them separately and to me, it’s just a pain in the you know what. Purchasing one-pieces is SO much easier. The world we all live in now is expensive. You mind as well save as much money as you can even if it’s with a bathing suit!
One-piece bathing suits are more comfortable
Don’t get me wrong, I love two-piece bathing suits. If I did have to choose a con for them, it would be that they’re way too uncomfortable. Either you tie it too tight or it’s too lose. You also have to keep tieing or loosening it as the day or evening goes on and for me, I just don’t have the patience or time for that. What’s great about one-piece bathing suits is that when you put them on, they stay in one place. There’s no moving around or adjusting the straps. It’s just simple and easy. It’s the summer and you should be able to just put on your bathing suit and enjoy the day instead of having to adjust it every 30 minutes like you would have to do with a two-piece bathing suit.
It’s easy to create an outfit
With two-piece bathing suits, you have to use a cover-up when you’re taking a break from the beach and going out to lunch or dinner. If you’re on a trip, that is just another piece of clothing that you have to pack and if you’re anything like me, you know that packing light is key. You don’t need a cover-up with a one-piece bathing suit (unless you really, and I mean, really want to use one). What I truly love about them is that they’re easy to create an outfit with. Simply put on a pair of shorts and you’re good to walk around town or go out to lunch with friends while you’re away on summer vacation. If you wanted a quick and easy outfit, wear your one-piece bathing suit. You’ll not only look cute, but like a fashionista as well.
