There are many ways you can decorate everything to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. One of those ways is to decorate your body. But what if you don’t want those changes to be permanent or only last a day or week? This list gives you a few ideas to do just that.
One of the most obvious ways to decorate your body is to change your hair color. And what color would be better for St. Patrick’s Day than green? You don’t have to go for the permanent dyes to achieve this look though. There are many sprays and hair chalk that can help you get to this look easily.
One tip on getting these chalks or sprays is to go to the stores around St. Patrick’s Day and grab them as soon as you can. Better to be safe than sorry. You never know if other people have the same idea as you.
Another idea is to stock up on this color hair chalk or spray around Halloween time. Many stores have colors like black, green, red, etc stocked up for those that want to go all out for their costumes.
Keep in mind that the more hair you have, the more chalk or spray you will want to get since the stuff tends to go out quickly the more you apply it. If you want a vibrant color, you should also stock up on a lot of chalk or spray.
The best part about this decoration idea is that it washes out pretty easily when you are taking a shower. Just make sure to follow the directions on the bottle or wrapper before using the product.
Peel-on tattoos don’t have to be just for kids. Adults can enjoy them just as much. They are very easy to apply and only take about a week or so to fade off. Sooner if you wash the applied area with soap a lot.
These tattoos are simple to put on. All you need to do is peel off the layer covering the design, place the design against your skin in the area you want it to be in, and cover it with a damp towel for about thirty seconds to one minute.
Make sure to carefully peel off the paper on top so you don’t rip the design and so all the design stays on your skin and not the paper.
Many stores have areas where you can insert a few quarters. For most, it’s a matter of luck in which tattoo you get. But if the machine has only St. Patrick’s Day-related tattoos, then you can buy a few from the machine and enjoy a range of different pictures.
The best part about this day is that as long as it resembles anything associated with the Irish or Ireland, it will pass as a decoration for St. Patrick’s Day.
So feel free to have a Leprechaun, a pot of gold, a four-leaf clover, or even a rainbow peel-on tattoo and you’re good to go.
These tattoos last a little longer than the peel-on tattoos and cost a lot more depending on where you get them done and how big you want the tattoo to be.
Henna tattoos are different from your typical tattoo in that they are not permanent and no needle is used. They can be any design you want them to be. Just make sure that it’s appropriate for the workplace/school after St. Patrick’s Day.
Or if it’s inappropriate, put it on a part of your body that you can easily cover for a few weeks until the tattoo fades.
You can be very creative with the design as well, not just doing a boring four-leaf clover but adding some personal designs or such to it. If you don’t have any idea, you can look up some designs on the internet or ask the artist doing it for you if they have any ideas to add to it.
Bodypaint is one of the easiest ways you can decorate your body for St. Patrick’s Day. You can do it yourself or have someone else do it for you.
If you decide to do it at home, the only expense you need to worry about is buying the paint. Make sure to read the labels carefully since some paint is not meant to be on skin. And definitely don’t let your pets near the stuff.
One piece of advice is to be careful with how much you put on. Putting on too much paint can prevent your skin from breathing and dehydrate it very quickly. It might look cool or pretty, but try to limit the amount.
Much like the henna tattoo, you can do anything with the bodypaint. Create any design you might want and add personal touches.
The best part is that the body paint washes off in the shower. If it doesn’t, you might want to stay in a little longer and scrub away at it until it comes off. You don’t want any of that bodypaint coming off on your clothes during the next few days.
Putting designs on your nails is another very easy way to decorate your body. No matter what gender you associate with or don’t associate with, you might enjoy putting some cute designs on your nails this St. Patrick’s Day.
Some designs are in the picture below, but you can always go your own way but doing different designs too.
The best part about this idea is that you can choose to keep the colors and designs on your nails for longer than just the day, or you can use nail polish remover to do something completely different the next day.
You can also treat your fingers, and toes, to a day of pampering by getting a pedicure and manicure before designing your nails. If you are good at doing it yourself, then you can save the expense and just do everything at home.
Or if you have no talent in that area, you can go to a nail salon to get your nails done.
If you don’t want to do any of the ideas above, then one of the easiest ways to decorate your body for this St. Patrick’s Day is to get some green clothes. This is an option many people choose to do instead of anything above since it takes the least amount of energy and time to pick through your wardrobe and wear that one green item you have.
It can be a shirt, some fun glasses, that bead necklace you got last St. Patrick’s Day, some shoes, etc. If it has green that can be easily seen, you’re good to go. The more green you have on you the better.
Just make sure it doesn’t say last year’s date on it if you want to stay current.
