20 New Years Eve Makeup Looks To Ring In 2018
NYE is one of the biggest nights of the year! You’ve probably had your dress picked out for a while now, and the ticket for your favorite bar was purchased months ago. Now all you have to do is pick out your makeup look! Check out these 20 New Years Eve makeup looks to ring in 2018!
1. Aqua
This aqua and bronze look is a gorgeous way to compliment an outfit with neutral tones. Dab some aqua eye shadow onto the middle of your eye with a slightly damp brush for extra pigmentation.
2. Black Glitter
Dress up a sultry smokey eye with a dab of black glitter on the outer edge of your eyelid. Make sure you have good adhesive, though, so you don’t have any glitter falling into your eyes when the ball drops.
3. Bold Under Eye
NYE is the best time of year to go all out with your makeup. Even if some under eye glitter is a little extra, you have everyone’s full permission to go glam.
4. Blue Smokey Eye
Remember when the 2000s hit (I know, dating myself here) and suddenly everything was this crazy blue color!? Bring back that new millennium blue look with this bold smokey eye this New Years. So cute and nostalgic!
5. Extra Lashes
No New Years Eve makeup look would be complete without tons of lashes! Pile on the lashes (within reason, obv) and pair them with a gold lid.
6. Brown Cut Crease
If you are torn between neutrals and something more bold, mix the two with a dramatic cut crease. If you know how to pull this look off, you will look like a total makeup guru.
7. Silver Cut Crease
This silver cut crease is actually very easy to do. Go with a matte base lid, something lighter is preferable, and trace the crease of your eye with glitter liner. Such an easy and festive look for the new year.
8. Green Smokey
This look is absolutely gorgeous on brown or hazel eyes. If you have been staring at that green shadow that is sitting in your palette untouched, here is your chance! Smoke it out with browns and blacks for a sexy effect.
9. Subtly Sexy
Liquid liner is not for everyone, and sometimes less is more. Try a subtle look with browns, golds, and bottom lash mascara.
10. Navy & Gold
This is another good look for novices. All you really have to do is smoke out some navy shadow along your lower lash line and on all over your lid. Then dab gold in the middle, from top to bottom, as if it were a column across your eye.
11. Rosy Neutrals
Again, lashes will always make you feel extra fancy. Try a more neutral, rosy base and add false eyelashes to the outer corner of your eyes. Bold, yet so beautiful.
12. Hot Pink
Pink is always an unexpected color for eye makeup. Whether you are trying to spice up a little black dress or punch up a winter white, pink is a fun choice to try out.
13. Purple Metallic
A super pigmented eye look like this metallic purple makeup will always turn heads! If you are nervous to try out this look, start small with either just a dab of color on your lids or some on your lower lash line.
14. Razor Sharp Liner
This is a great look if you know your way around a liquid liner. Carefully line your inner corners, it will totally bring out the color of your eyes.
15. Simple Silver
A simple way to make a splash is to coat your lids in silver shadow and go for a bold cat eye. It is easy and will still steal the show.
16. Dust of Glitter
You don’t have to be careful with this look! Lightly dust glitter pretty much all over your eyelids and throw on a few coats of mascara and you have the perfect NYE look.
17. Bold Neutrals
Take your nudes up a notch by smoking black shadow out on the outside of your eyelids. Paired with a cat eye and some falsies, this look will make you feel extra glam.
18. Bronze & Purple
Cover your lids and lower lashes with a metallic bronze shadow. For a fun New Years twist, line your inner corners with a purple liner.
19. White Cat Eye
Along the top of your black cat eye, use white liquid liner to add a chic new dimension to your eye makeup look.
20. SANTA
No, you probably won’t want to copy this look. But if you do, A+++ for keeping up the spirit.
