I swear my friends are the lucky ones when it comes to meeting infamous people or wealthy individuals that want to treat them good. Imagine having a professional baseball player as your uber driver for the night.
Here’s the story:
My roommates had gone into Boston for a night out and went to visit a few friends that were in the Boston area. It was around 2 a.m., when they started getting tired and ready to come home. By the way we all live back in Newton, Aburndale, Massachusetts.
When they were getting ready to leave, they were offered a ride and they declined. They preferred to take an uber and didn’t want to feel like they were obligated to repay them or owe them something in return down the line.
When they told me this, I tried to let them know that, that wouldn’t have been the case. If someone offers to do something they are not doing it because they are expecting anything in return. It is very rare, and if that is the case, people usually make it known right then and there.
So the decision to take an uber, I guess was the best decision ever made for at least one of them because she got two surprises in one. To the knitty gritty of things that everyone wants to know about…. the baseballl player.
While they were in the uber, my roommate Valarie said that she kept noticing the driver staring at her from the rear view mirror. Knowing Val, she was probably looking like why is this fine as ass man eyeballing me so hard.
She expressed to me how beautiful he was and described how much he resembled another celebrity, lol. I think this girl was in total aweee of the situation.
I know her personally, she is one of the biggest, lowkey flirter that you would ever meet. I remember when we had a little kick back at our suite and some guys came and she was flirting heavy and tried to deny it at the end of the night.
So it didn’t surprise one bit when she told me that she asked this man for his social media tags to follow. I mean shoot your shot right, and hope it makes it in the basket.
The baseball player was showering her with an abundance of compliments, flirting with her all the way to her destination. Val was not trying to show that she was too interested but kept it too a minimum.
At the end of the ride, she got his social media and immediately followed him. The rule of thumb is what a few days and then follow.
At the end of the ride, she found a nice departing gift that was in the backseat of the car. She found a whole new outfit with the tags still on the clothes, receipt in the bag from Urban Outfitters.
When she came home she was so happy, she talked about it all night. She should me the outfit on, talked on and on about the interaction with the baseball player.
She later told me that after a few weeks that he had yet to follow her back and so she decided to unfollow him. The pettiness is real, lol, no one likes to be asked to follow someone just to not get followed back.
