10. Bennie And The Jets by Miguel, Wale

This is a modern twist on a classic. It’s an unexpected cover, many don’t actually know that it exists. Despite that, it might be overlooked it still definitely deserves to be on your road trip playlist. The lyrics are the same, and the extra rap bit by Wale is just a cherry on top. The added bass in the background and electronic sound throughout the song will make you look at this song entirely different, in the best possible way.

Being from Colorado I couldn’t help but put in a song by the late and great John Denver. Arguably one of the greatest country songs ever written this road trip song is meant to be sung along with with all your might. This is the song you should listen to when you begin your trip back to your house. Traveling is fun, but sometimes coming back home can be better.
