10 Movies That Are A Lifestyle You Want To Live

You want to be the guy who gets the girl, the one with the special powers or the chosen one, the hero, and so on. You want to be something that makes you feel and look so good for you and everyone because that’s something you’ve seen in a lot of movies. And because you’ve seen it from beginning to end, you want your life the same way. Don’t we wish? But we have to face reality and admit to ourselves that it’s not going to happen to a lot of us. But it doesn’t hurt to imagine. These movies listed are movies with characters you could only wish were a lifestyle.

1. Confessions Of A Shopaholic

Knee-deep in debt and passionate for fashion, journalist Rebecca Bloomwood (played by Isla Fisher) accidentally lands a job as a writer at Successful Savings Magazine, ran by her boss (and love interest) Luke Brandon (Hugh Dancy), where her article on store card APRs gains popularity globally. Ironically, she neglects her own financial advice and continues running from her debt problems. Thankfully, in the end, she is debt-free and finds herself in the arms of her Luke. (Enter) Now, no one wants to be in debt but you certainly want this movie as a llifestyle to live because who doesn’t want to be successful, have an eye for fashion, known world-wide, have a best friend who loves you even when you are complicated, and is loved by a rich man. It sounds like the perfect lifestyle!

2. Bandslam

Although the main character Will Burton (Gaelan Connell) isn’t Mr. Popular, he moves away from his old life in Cincinnati where he was only known by his father’s mistake to his new life in New Jersey where he meets his true friends, Charlotte Barnes (Aly Michalka) and Sa5m (Vanessa Hudgens) (the five is silent). Will spends a lot of time with Charlotte working on their new band I Can’t Go On, I’ll Go On, to compete for the band competition, Bandslam. But Sa5m starts to feel left out, especially when she and Will shared a magical kiss (which he learned how to do from Charlotte). However, things seem to settle until Charlotte’s ex, Ben Wheatly feels threatened by Will and digs up Wills history and uses it against him, but Will learns that he must accept his past and move on, and the band crushes it at the competition. This movie as a llifestyle to live is perfect because the friendship that these characters have is so unrealistic you have to want it. Plus, who wouldn’t want a bonafide record deal from the legacy himself, David Bowie, which Will gets at the end due to the power of Youtube (Spoiler! They do not win the competition.)

3. Pretty Woman

Whether you want to be a prostitute or not, you do want to be Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman. Wealthy businessman Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) finds himself falling for Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts), the prostitute he hires to be his arm candy for a lot of professional events. Because of Edward’s “friend” and lawyer, Phillip Stuckey (Jason Alexander) and other stuck up people she encounters who judge her based on the way she talks and dresses, Vivian starts second-guessing her decision. But of course, love wins in the end. (Enter) Edward fell for Vivian because of who she was despite her history and he gave her the llifestyle only a lot of people could dream of having by taking her to clothing stores to be showered with gifts. All in all, it was all about how she made him feel, not the sex. We could only dream, which is why we want this movie as a llifestyle to live.

4. Begin Again

This movie itself is a love song to the beautiful New York with so many fantastic songs in it. Not only that, but this movie also highlights the mistakes that a lot of music industries make when it comes to its artists and shows how music industries should focus on the authenticity of music and not the glitz and glam. Greta (Keira Knightley) is a musician and joins her musician boyfriend Dave (Adam Levine) on his journey to fame when he gets signed to a record label, but with fame comes drama. She soon discovers Dave cheated on her when he went on a “business trip” to Los Angeles with his assistant, Mim. She moves out and in with her friend from London, Steve (James Coren), and he convinces her to keep pursuing her love in music in which she meets Dan (Mark Ruffalo), an ex A&R man, and they form a band together. This movie touches on romantic love, forgiveness, friendship, and family. The reason this movie is a llifestyle to live is that Greta, Dan, and The other band members roam New York City while making an outdoor album and they seem so happy. They don’t care about the high life or what’s a trend, they seemed to focus on happiness and the happiness authentic music brings.

5. Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants

Just like Bandslam, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants portrays an unrealistic friendship and something that we all want in our lives. Bridget (Blake Lively), Carmen (America Ferrera), Lena (Alexis Bledel), and Tibby (Amber Tamblyn) are best friends living in Maryland and have to spend their summer separately with Bridget going to Mexico for a soccer camp, Lena visiting her family in Greece, and Tibby and Carmen staying home near their families. Although separated, they are all connected by a pair of jeans that magically fits them all. The movie’s theme labels the movie as a llifestyle to live because of the tight bond that they all have even when far away. Plus, Bridget and Lena get to make out with hot guys.

6. Fifty Shades Of Grey

Fifty Shades Of Grey is the perfect movie as a llifestyle because it’s sexy and if your toes curl just by watching, imagine living it. Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) steps in for her roommate to interview successful businessman Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), who finds himself strangely attracted to innocent Anastasia. But innocence can only last for so long. Anastasia finds herself on a different path in her life when she enters a sexual relationship with Christian, exploring his deepest, darkest and dirtiest sexual interests. She soon learns the dangers of combining pain with pleasure, especially when you’re not experienced. Whether you want to be in the shoes of Anastasia or Christian, you know you want the freedom of exploring your darkest and deepest sexual secrets. Don’t worry, your secret is safe.

7. The Breakfast Club

A group of high school students is forced to spend their Saturday in detention with their annoying principal (Paul Gleason), however, they aren’t the usual crowd they hang around. The rebellious John (Judd Nelson), pretty and popular Claire (Molly Ringwald), the outcast Allison (Ally Sheedy), the nerdy Brian (Anthony Michael Hall), and the jock Andrew (Emilio Estevez) spend their detention telling their stories about their lives and wondering if they would interact with each other during school hours. This movie as a llifestyle would be perfect because who wouldn’t want to spend detention the way they did without getting caught? Although it seems fun, the Nickelodeon show, Victorious, made it seem way more fun.

When the five best friends reunite after the death of their basketball coach, they decide to stay at a cabin that holds so many memories for them and they share it with their wives and kids. You want this movie as a llifestyle because of the amount of fun that they have with their family and friends, something you may not have experienced. It would be cool to swing on a rope and jump into a lake or learn how to skip rocks. Although the movie is inappropriate for those under the age of 13, it is the ideal llifestyle to have friends and family that close.
