10 Movie And TV Couples Who Are Dating Or Married In Real Life

Sometimes, the chemistry between actors portraying Movie or TV Couples is so strong that they start dating each other. The romance between these Movie and TV Couples usually begins either during or after the production of the project that they are working on together. Also, the on-screen romance can either lead to a breakup or a marriage. With that being said, here are 10 Movie And TV Couples who are currently dating or are married in real life: 

1. Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar:

Although they first met on the set of the 1997 film I Know What You Did Last Summer, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar didn’t begin dating until 2000. The two got engaged in 2001 and wed a year later in Mexico. Prinze Jr. and Gellar worked together in several more films, most notably as each other’s respective love interests Fred Jones and Daphne Blake in the 2002 film Scooby-Doo and the 2004 sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. The first Scooby-Doo movie was released a few months before the couple’s wedding. 

2. Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer:

Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer first met on the set of the Netflix Original Series Stranger Things. Although their on-screen characters Jonathan and Nancy don’t get together until Season 2, Heaton and Dyer became a couple in real life in 2017. The two don’t speak much publicly about their relationship nor do they share many details with the press. Heaton’s and Dyer’s off-screen romance has helped make Jonathan and Nancy from Stranger Things one of the most popular TV couples currently. 

3. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes:

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes first met on the set of the film The Place Beyond the PinesSparks flew fast between Gosling and Mendes and they started dating during the film’s production in September 2011. The Place Beyond the Pines was released in 2012 at The Toronto International Film Festival. This is the second time that Gosling dated one of his co-stars as he dated his The Notebook co-star Rachel McAdams on-and-off from 2005-2008. While Gosling and Mendes are still together to this day (they also have two daughters), they are also one of Hollywood’s most private couples. 

4. Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman:

Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are the only real-life couple on this list who worked together to play a couple in both a movie and on TV! DeVito and Perlman first met in 1971 and wed in 1982. The first project the couple worked together on was the TV Show Taxi, where Perlman played Zena Sherman, a recurring character and girlfriend to DeVito’s character Louie De Parma, one of the show’s main characters. Both played Zinnia and Harry Wormwood, the titular character’s mean parents, in the children’s film Matilda. Although they separated a few times over the last couple of years, Perlman has stated that she would never officially divorce DeVito. 

5. Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz:

The Oscar-winning Spanish Actors first met in 1992 on the set of Jamon, Jamon and later reunited to work together again for the 2008 film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, where Cruz played Bardem’s ex-wife. Vicky Cristina Barcelona was also the film that Cruz won her Academy Award for. Bardem and Cruz began dating in 2007 and got married in 2010. The super-private couple also have two children together: a son and a daughter.

6. Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie:

Kit Harrington’s and Rose Leslie’s characters Jon Snow and Ygritte are lovers and enemies on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. Jon Snow and Ygritte are one of the most famous and popular TV Couples because their actors, Harrington and Leslie, are a romantic item off-screen as well! The couple started seeing each other in 2012 and got engaged in late 2017. Harrington and Leslie wed on June 23, 2018.  

7. Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton:

Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton met in 2017 on the set of the Oscar-winning film Bohemian Rhapsody, where Malek played Freddie Mercury and Boynton played Mary Austin (Mercury’s former fiancee and closest confidant). After production for the film concluded, the co-stars starting dating in early 2018. Boynton was right by Malek’s side when he won the Academy Award for Best Actor at The Oscars this past February.

8. Tea Leoni and Tim Daly:

Tea Leoni and Tim Daly portray a married TV couple on the CBS drama Madam Secretary. In real life though, the two actors are only dating. Leoni and Daly confirmed their relationship in December 2014 and made their red-carpet debut at the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The couple is still going strong to this very day. 

9. Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus:

The Hunger Games star and the singer and actress first met in 2009 on the set of The Last Song where they played each other’s love interests. The film was released in theaters on March 31, 2010. The two started dating after production for The Last Song ended and were engaged from May 2012 to September 2013 before calling things off. However, Hemsworth and Cyrus rekindled their relationship in March 2016 and ultimately got re-engaged in June of that same year. The couple secretly wed on December 23, 2018, in a private ceremony at their home in Nashville, Tennessee. Although the couple recently announced their separation after less than a year of marriage, fans are in denial and hope that they can find their way back to each other again. 

10. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis:

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis played Kelso and Jackie on That 70’s Show. Kelso and Jackie are among the most famous on-again, off-again TV Couples and their characters ultimately didn’t get back together by the time That 70’s Show ended in 2006. Things only turned romantic between Kutcher and Kunis when they started dating in 2012. The start of their relationship was in the middle of Kutcher’s divorce to actress Demi Moore. Kutcher and Kunis got married in 2015 and have two children: a daughter and a son.
