5 Mods You Need For Better Game Play In The Sims 4
The Sims 4 is the fourth major title in the life simulation video game series The Sims, developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts in 2014, it has been hugely popular for years. The game has six expansion packs alongside it and numerous decorative packs, however, users have felt there is still much more to add and that is where mods come in. Mods are made by non-game developers to add extra content. The Sims 4 has many great ones that add reality and more fun. So, here are 5 mods you need for better gameplay.
1. Explore Mod by Kawaiistacie
Kawaiistacie is a fab modder and there will probably be a couple of hers in this list. Even though travel is available in the sims the options are limited and you have to follow them, however, the explore mod allows sims to travel on there as if they were driving a car or getting the bus.
The mod allows your sims to leave the lot through rabbit holes and return with buffs, motive increases, skill increases, and relationship increases. It works by a new pie menu named “explore” which appears when you click your sims. Some options cost money just like real life. Examples include going to the arcade, on vacation, shopping and even to the doctors.
2. Gender Preference by Azoresman
Even though sexuality is very fluid and free in The Sims there is no way to set gender preferences for your sim if you want them to have a specific sexuality. There are four options that the player can choose from- male, female, both, and none. In recent updates to the mod, the player can dictate the percentage of preference via a slider.
The mod affects how romantic interactions will be carried out. If your sims are set to attracted to females, romantic actions will be more successful with that gender.
3. Slice Of Life by Kawaiistacie
This mod focuses on adding more realism to the game! This mod adds physical changes to sims based on mood, new buffs, and a cellphone menu. The new buffs are one of the best aspects of the mod, you can feel anxious or jealousy. There are even more detailed ones for pregnancy, such as feeling the baby kick.
Some in-game changes and extras are the ability for your sims to get drunk, have a menstrual cycle, lose a tooth, get acne, perform skincare and have an illness.
4. MC Command Center
MC Command isn’t so much a gameplay mod but gives you so much control over the sims and your game which makes playing much easier and enjoyable. This mod allows the player to take control of very finite features of the game; from lifespans to bill frequency, even down to pregnancy chances!
The possibilities of what you can do are endless but I can’t suggest downloading it enough. It will completely change your game.
5. Better Schools Mod by Kawaiistacie
School is such a major part of any persons life, yet in The Sims all your children or teens do is leave and come back again. The options are very limited. This mod allows teens and children to learn basic skills, increase motives, and have more choices at school. Each interaction has an advantage and disadvantage. Activities and options include sleeping in class, go on phone, do homework, flirt, make enemies and pay attention.
By adding these mods into the mix it really enhances the base playing experience and storytelling experience. While it is important to state there is always a risk with mods all of the listed above are reputable and working. Happy simming.
