Mixed Drinks That Won’t Make You Gain the Freshman 15
Going out with friends and drinking every weekend seems like a great idea— the first semester. When the extra calories turn to extra pounds and the gym is filled with everybody getting their “New Year’s Body,” you’re going to wish you didn’t have so many shots… OR you’ll wish you stuck with lower calorie miked drinks! Rum, Tequila, and Vodka tend to have fewer calories per serving than whiskey or gin, which are 90-110 calories a shot. BUT! Beers, ciders, and malts go up to 400 calories a pop! That’s a whole lot of extra calories for much lower alcohol contents at 5-6%. Here are a few low-calorie mixed drinks that will allow you to continue to party and keep the freshman 15 at bay.
