8 Men’s Fashion Trends You Should Try Out This Summer

Summer is approaching, so its time to put away your winter wardrobe and break out your warm weather outfits. This means wearing fashionable clothing that is breathable in the hot sun and perfect for the beach, the city, barbecues, and more! For many, summer fashion is a lot harder to grasp than winter fashion, as there’s a lot less to work with, but have no fear! Here are 7 men’s fashion trends you should try out this summer! If you like getting compliments on your apparel, read this list and see if it works for you!

1. Tie Dye T-Shirts

This particular fashion trend is making a comeback this summer. Celebrity style icons like Jonah Hill have been seen out wearing tie dye, artists and bands like Travis Scott and Flatbush Zombies are releasing tie dye merchandise again, and it is the perfect summer fashion trend for those of you who want to show your true colors! Throw on a vintage Grateful Dead shirt with some well fitting shorts and flaunt your colors with confidence!

2. Hawaiian Shirts

Another colorful wardrobe choice, Hawaiian shirts are the perfect summer fashion trend for those who like to relax while also looking fresh. From Leo Dicaprio to Brad Pitt, many celebrity style icons can be seen lounging and looking good in Hawaiians. This summer make sure to throw on a Hawaiian with some sunglasses, grab a piña colada, and hit the beach in style!

3. T-Shirt and Athletic Shorts

Here’s a very simple sumemer fashion trend for those of you who don’t like to get too colorful in the sunshine. Grab a graphic t-shirt and a pair of athletic shorts that show off your sun kissed legs and rock that simple look like professional skateboarded Nyjah Huston does here.

4. Sunglasses

This isn’t necessarily a new men’s fashion trend, but this summer you should definitely step your sunglass game up. Whether its wayfarers, aviators, clubmasters, round lenses, or any other trendy style, make sure it fits your face and the lens color works well with what you’re wearing. Even a transparent pink lens can look fashionable with the right outfit, as seen on Jonah Hill.

5. Shoes

Everyone wears them, but not everyone rocks them. Your shoe game is what puts together your entire summer outfit. Ditch the beat up sneakers and throw on some classic Converse shoes, Vans, or Adidas Sambas. Personally, I like shoes that I don’t have to wear socks with in the summer like low cut Vans and Adidas Sambas, but feel free to go high top with mid calf socks and pair your shoe color with your shorts, shirt, or sunglasses for the perfect summer look.

6. Flip Flops

Flip flops make for a classic summer look on any warm weather occasion, whether at the beach, pool, in the backyard, or at the waterpark. They are easy to take on and off and keep your feet cool in the hot sun. However, choosing a flip flop can be a hard task. Many swear by Rainbow flip flops, some people pull off the Birkenstock look with ease, while others look more for comfort with Oofos. Many of us cannot afford designer flip flops, but that’s ok because they aren’t necessary! Pick your flip flops based on your priorities, whether it be comfort or style, and wear them with confidence as Leonardo Dicaprio does below. Just stop with the socks and slides and embrace the warm weather.

7. Headwear

Headwear in the summer is essential for not only protecting your face and eyes from the sun, but it also makes for some good summer fashion. Lets be real here, while they may look good, the hot weather is no place for a beanie. Throw your beanies aside and grab a dad hat, fedora (if you can pull it off), or a bucket hat. You’ll feel cool and protected from the sun and you’ll look cool all at once.
