Can you think of a better way to celebrate Memorial Day and the beginning of summer than at a super fun concert with all your friends? Yeah, I can’t either. So we compiled a list of all the best Memorial Day concerts happening throughout the weekend just for you.
Celebrate Memorial Day at its best in Washington DC with musical performances, documentary screening, and readings to honor the service of all of our military men and women. For over 25 years, one of the best Memorial Day concerts has taken place on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The gates to the concert on the lawn will open at 5:00pm. Lucky for you, the concert is free and open to the public. The National Memorial Day Concert will also be aired on PBS at 8:00 pm for those who can not make it but still want to celebrate with other Americans. The BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley, CA has essentially everything you could ever want in a Memorial Day festival; music, food, wine, and brew! BottleRock is a three-day outdoor festival, with events happening all day starting on Friday the 24th and ending on Sunday the 26th. This year’s line up includes Imagine Dragons, Logic, OneRepublic, Elle King, Liz Cooper & The Stampede, Madison Beer, Mumford & Sons and many, many more. In fact, the BottleRock Festival has over 99 performers!
But BottleRock festival is not limited to musical performances, there’s a culinary stage where attendees can watch their favorite celebrity chefs do their magic. There are also dozens of wine cabanas throughout to festival where attendees can sit and sip local wines. The festival starts at 11:30am and ends at 10:00pm each day. Tickets are available here.
This year, on Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th, the Bayou Country Superfest is coming to the LSU Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Bayou Country Superfest features some of the biggest and best names in country music, like Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line, Dan + Shay, and Cassadee Pope on Saturday. Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Brett Young, Chase Rise, and many more will be performing on Sunday. Pack your favorite cowboy boots and denim jackets to fit in with the rest of the country superfans. If you’re in the New York City area on May 26th, you won’t want to miss the Hip Hop vs. Reggae Memorial Day Weekend Yacht Party. This two-story yacht with an onboard bar will be playing hip hop and rap music all night as it sails along the East River. The NYC Hip Hop vs. Reggae Memorial Day Yacht Party starts at 11:45 and ends at 4:00am and tickets start at only $40.00. You can get tickets here.
Though this concert is not officially created to celebrate Memorial Day, on Saturday, May 25th, Ariana Grande’s Thank You Next tour is coming to New Orleans, LA at the Smoothie King Center.
