India has more vegetarians than the rest of the world put together so it stands to reason that Indian food is super easy to make vegan. Whether you fancy making the sauce from scratch or buying a pre-made one, there are loads of options – just be sure to check the label carefully. Then you can pretty much add in anything you want such as lentils or chickpeas to make dahl or even just veggies. When you’re done, serve it with some rice, plain naan and chutneys for a meal so good, you won’t even realise it’s vegan.

You can either buy pre-made vegan patties, substitute the meat with veg such as aubergine or portobello mushroom or mix up your own vegan burger using crushed chickpeas and sweet potato. Then serve them with sweet potato or normal fries and some tomato sauce- we guarantee you won’t miss the meat at all.

To make a home, all you need to do is cook risotto rice, onions, mushrooms, white wine and seasoning in a saucepan in a mixture of water and vegetable stock. Cook the risotto slowly over low heat until all of the water has been absorbed by the rice and the dish is creamy and sticky.
