Marble nails are a cute and trendy way to do your nails, and they are actually really easy to do yourself! If you are looking for a fun DIY nail design to try out, give the marble nails look a go. Your nails will look expensive, but you won’t be breaking the bank!
The first step to getting the perfect marble nails is to apply a base coat. Apply a moisturizer around the outside of your nail so that it will be easier to take off later in the process.
If you loosen the lids of each nail polish beforehand, you will be able to work much more quickly throughout the process. Set them next to you so they are easy to reach.
Take the brush out of the first of your nail polishes and make sure it has a lot of polish on. Then, hover the brush over your dish that’s filled with room temperature water and let a drop fall onto the surface.
After the color disperses across the surface of the water, repeat this process with the rest of your colors. Aim for the center of your first polish each time.
After you have achieved about 8 layers of color, you can create your pattern. Take a toothpick and drag it through the colors to create this pattern. (Warning: avoid the outermost color, it is most likely already dry!)
Next, dip each finger into the water one at a time. You may need to use a toothpick to help get your finger out of the water.
Dip a cotton swab in your nail polish remover and clean up the excess polish around the nail. Let them dry.
Finally, apply a top coat to your nails to seal in your design. Enjoy your beautiful marble nails!
