With social media in the palm of our hands, it can be hard to feel like our greatest selves these days with the millions of photos of everyone looking their best to compare ourselves to. But if there’s one thing we have to remember about the internet is that everyone puts the best looking version of themselves online. And why shouldn’t they? There’s no crime in feeling confident and wanting to look your best. So here are twelve makeup looks that will surely make you feel your most confident and best version of yourself!
While this makeup look can take a bit of practice, once you’ve mastered it, it’ll be one of your go-to looks to make you feel like your best self. Cut creases are a little like magic. They can make any eye shape (yes, even us burdened with hooded eyes) look as if they’re round, beautiful, and big. You can use a wild variety of colors, but to stand out among the crowd, picking a colorful pallet will always do the trick. Pop on a pair of lashes over that, and you will be looking like a goddess.
Rocking that bold lip color can be a challenge for some people, but don’t be afraid to try those wild colors! Putting on a bold lip is really all you need in terms of makeup if you want to try a distinct but bold look that took hardly any effort at all to put on. I would highly suggest going for a deep red if you’re planning on trying out this look. To me, nothing is sexier than a dark shade of red.
The wonderful thing about makeup is that it is so beautifully versatile. You can either put on a full face of glam or use it to extenuate your features. The “no makeup” makeup look is perfect for anyone who wants to highlight certain areas of the face and not make their efforts to0 noticeable. There is nothing wrong with wanting to lather on a light layer of BB Cream, add a subtle highlight and some mascara and call it a day.

Use it to subtly enhance your cheekbones, darken your eyelids, and give your nose a cute “burnt” look. It’s easy, and you can use any brand of bronzer you want to accomplish this look.
This look may seem complicated to recreate, but all you truly need is a good bit of highlighter and apply it to all the little areas over your foundation. Start with the higher areas of your cheeks, then under your brows, the tip of the nose, and over your cupids bow. It seems like a lot, but it surely won’t feel like it when you have your brush in your hand. I know for me, it’s probably the most exciting part of my makeup routine!
Drawing a wing on your eyes can bring you more confidence than you could ever imagine. I know it does for me. Winged eyeliner elongates your eyes to makes you look far sexier than you’d think. And the best part about winged eyeliner is that you can make it as subtle or as bold as you’d like. There is no wrong choice!
Smokey eyes are dramatic, sexy, and all-around glamorous. With a bold dramatic look like this, all you need is a subtle lip gloss to top it all off. Add some silver sparkles on top and you have got yourself a starry night sky on your eyelids.
It sounds a bit strange, but there’s nothing more satisfying than color coordination. For an added bit of color, try and use the same color you’ve used for your eyeshadow and lips and blend it all over your cheeks as blush. Not only does that make the look more aesthetically pleasing, but it never fails to catch a glance from those around you. If you are planning on trying this makeup look, I’d highly suggest sticking with the pastels. Pastel oranges, pinks, and yellows are and never will fail to be in style.

For those that gravitate towards anything shiny (because honestly, who doesn’t?) then this makeup look is for you! This look is especially good for any NYE, Christmas, or even St. Patrick’s Day party you’re attending! You’ll be the most dazzling figure in the room by far.
This makeup look is for those that want a bit of a throwback. 90s was all about brown lipstick, light eyeshadow, and fresh matte skin. It’s moody, and will give you not only confidence, but just the right amount of attitude. 90s makeup and style has made an astonishingly big comeback this past year, and I don’t think it’s going anywhere any time soon.
If you aren’t into throwbacks, then a futuristic makeup look could be just the thing to make you feel intergalactic. Adding anything holographic or silver to your face will instantly make you look like a girl who came straight from her spaceship. While I did say this look is anything but a throwback, I will give a shoutout to the fictional character Zenon from the 1999 movie “Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century”. I won’t say she is the sole inspiration for this futuristic makeup look that’s trending these days, but I do believe she has helped keep it alive, especially with Disney+ out and bringing back all our old favorite movies.
