Make A Dry Erase Board
Dry erase boards are an easy way to keep track of your to-do or grocery list, and they’re perfect for college students who need big reminders about when their papers or projects are due. However, they often cost a lot of money, so here is a way to make your own dry erase board without spending too much!
Materials:
- Picture frame with glass plate
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Scrapbook paper (whatever design/color you want)
- Dry Erase markers
- Glue (optional)
First you’ll remove the backing of the picture frame.
Trace the backing of the picture frame onto your scrapbook paper. If there’s a simple design, make sure you get that inside of the area being traced. If you chose to just use colored paper or a design that is all over the paper, such as tye dye or something else, then you needn’t worry.
Using your scissors, cut out the tracing.
If the glass plate isn’t already inside of your picture frame, add it now. You want to make sure there are no smudges on the glass.
Put the scrapbook paper you cut out into the picture frame like you would with any normal photo.
Put the backing back in place.
If you’d like to decorate the outside of your frame, you can do it however you would like. Paint it, put studs, sequins, use ribbon, the possibilities are endless.
Now just use your dry erase markers on the glass, and wipe it off when you’re done!
Also, I’ve heard that there is such thing as dry erase poster board, so you can also substitute that instead of scrapbook paper. That way, if you have a frame that doesn’t have a glass plate with it, you can still easily make a dry erase board for yourself.
