10 Magical Disneyland Food Items You Need To Try The Next Time You Visit

One of the best parts about going to Disneyland is getting to try out all of the different kinds of Disneyland food that are there. Disneyland is called the happiest place on Earth for a reason and they certainly did not get that title by serving people subpar food. Not only is the ambiance of Disneyland magical but their food is so good that they will have you convinced that the food there is magical too. There are a lot of Disneyland food options in the park so it easy to get overwhelmed and not know which ones to pick, but there is no need for you to worry about that anymore! I have compiled a list of the best Disneyland food items that you are sure to enjoy. Make your next Disneyland trip even more memorable with these delicious Disneyland food choices!

1. Fried Chicken

The fried chicken located at the Plaza Inn serves the most tender, delicious, and crispy-skinned chicken you will ever taste in your entire life. Chicken is always good but there is just something about the way that Disneyland makes their chicken that takes it to the next level.

2. Filled Pretzels

You can find these stuffed pretzels at the Refreshment Corner Cafe. They have different varieties of the Mickey pretzel. You can go for a standard Mickey pretzel or pick out one of these stuffed pretzels. The stuffed pretzel is full of yummy cream cheese! If you want something with a little more of a kick then they also offer a jalapeno Mickey pretzel.

3. Clam Chowder

The clam chowder bowl can be found at Pacific Wharf Cafe. The clam chowder comes in a delectable sourdough bread bowl that is sure to fill you up and make your tastebuds sing. It is so rich with flavor that you are sure to never forget how wonderful it tastes. I recommend getting this in the cooler months since it is a heavier, warm food.

4. Lands End Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae

If you have a large sweet tooth then this is the perfect Disney food for you! The saltiness of the caramel balances with the sweetness of the chocolate in a way that will make you go in for more and more spoonfuls. This is a decadent treat that will truly make Disneyland feel like the happiest place on Earth while you are eating it.

5. Turkey Leg

The turkey leg from poultry place is something that everyone from Disneyland gets at least one time during one of their trips to Disneyland and that is because it has a reputation of being undeniably delicious. Disneyland has truly nailed their turkey recipe and tasting it will make you question exactly how they make it so that you can imitate it for your next Thanksgiving dinner. Nothing beats grabbing a turkey leg before the Disneyland firework show and eating it while taking in the scenery.

6. Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait

Everyone goes on and on about the dole whip you can get at Disneyland, but this newer Disneyland food deserves just as much hype. The Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait is a treat that you can get at the Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats shack. It is perfect for cooling you down and it will hit you with enough sweetness to satisfy any dessert craving you might have. The fruitiness of this Disneyland food is also refreshing so you can feel good as you continue walking around the park.

7. Chocolate Vanilla Twist Soft-Serve

Something that I always get whenever I go to Disneyland is the Chocolate Vanilla Twist Soft-Serve. There is nothing better than soft-serve ice cream and Disneyland serves the creamiest soft serve of them all. The taste of the soft-serve is perfect too. Soft-serve is a timeless classic of a dessert but that is what makes it so wonderful. The soft-serve will take you back to your younger days and make you feel like a child again. Since Walt Disney’s plan with Disneyland was to help adults feel like a child again, I would say that this Disneyland food is the perfect embodiment of that. Pick up this Disneyland food at the Cozy Cone Motel and I am sure you will be stopping by there every time you visit Disneyland thereafter.

8. Chili Cone Queso

If you are in the mood for a filling on-the-go meal that is jammed full of flavor then I highly recommend the Chili Cone Queso from the Cozy Cone Motel. I am not the biggest fan of chili so you can expect the surprise I experienced when I not only liked this chili but actually became its biggest fan. This Chile Cone Queso made me change my mind about chili so much that in the following week after my Disneyland visit, I tried to make myself a bowl of chili. Needless to say, it wasn’t as good and I do not think any other chili out there in the world is ever going to live up to it. But, that is exactly why you need to take advantage of your time in the park and pick one of these up. I promise that you won’t regret it! You will especially love this if you love cheese. Disneyland would not be the happiest place on Earth if it skimped you on how much cheese they served you with this cone. The crunchiness of the chips on top too take this cone to the next level.

9. Waffles With Fruit

You can pick up these cute and tasty waffles from Flo V8’s Cafe. These waffles look tiny but they are mighty. They have a subtle vanilla taste and when you top it with syrup, it literally tastes like heaven. They are perfectly crispy and golden on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside. The imprints of the different Cars character adds to the cuteness and novelty of this Disneyland food item. It will surely put you in the Disneyland mood. The fruits that they offer you on the side offer the switch-up that your palette needs between bites, making this meal one you will definitely remember.

10. Churros

You can pick a churro from one of the many stands that are placed among the Disneyland park. Disneyland is known for its churros and every time someone visits Disneyland, the odds are that they cannot leave before they get their hands on a least one churro. Disneyland offers the regular cinnamon and sugar churro, but they also offer an Oreo churro as well. This warm treat is found on everyone’s IG story whenever they go to Disneyland almost as proof that they participated in the total Disneyland experience. This Disneyland food option is a must when you go to the park. I must warn you though that most people, including myself, can never stop at just one. They are just that good.

Which of these Disneyland food items looks best to you and which will you be first in line to try out once Disneyland is open? Be sure to let us know down in the comments below!

Sara Bowers

Hello! My name is Sara Bowers and I am a Senior at Azusa Pacific University where I am double majoring in Allied Health and Honors Humanities and minoring in Psychology. As a young girl, I loved to write and English became my favorite subject very quickly. The sciences also intrigued me and I was often told to choose one path, but I did not want to sacrifice either of my passions. It turns out I didn't have to and thanks to the many novels read in my Humanities courses and the writing prompts I tackled alongside them, my love of writing was further affirmed and I grew more confident that I made the correct decision in pursuing both paths. I have a heart for helping people by any means necessary, so if that means helping someone with a physical ailment, informing someone of the best places to eat, or giving tips to calm anxiety, I am all for it. So, there you have it - that's me! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to get to know me a little bit! I hope you stop by and check out more of my articles in the future!
