Intelligentsia is Venice’s staple hipster coffee shop. Located in the heart of Venice on Abbot Kinney, it’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee, get some work done, people watch, or all of the above. With skylight ceilings, wooden benches and tables, and grey concrete floors, Intelligentsia has a distinct, trendy vibe to it. This coffee shop is also open late on weekends, so it can be a fun place to hang with friends before going wherever else you plan to. The decor is evidently one of the best parts about this shop, but the coffee itself isn’t to be missed out on, either. Verve is located right on Melrose in the middle of West Hollywood; another great location for a coffee shop. For those of you who don’t drink coffee, (not sure why you’d be reading this article… but anyways) they offer juice flights, so you can sample a number of drinks in one sitting. Blue Bottle’s specialty is iced coffee, and customers rave about its New Orleans cold brew. The staff and service are welcoming and quick, and the interior is minimally decorated, cute, and clean.
