This isn’t strictly speaking a bakery, but rather a stand that sells an incredible variety of mesmerising cupcakes. They also do delicious cakes to order, so be sure to try out some of those as well. Conveniently located outside train and tube stations, Lola’s Cupcakes will inevitably draw you in with their colourful display and incredible taste.

This one is my personal favourite and definitely one of London’s top bakeries. This incredibly unique establishment focuses on (you guessed it) Nordic baked goods. They serve jaw-dropping cinnamon buns, dark rye bread treats, tray bakes, berry-flavoured buns, and everyone’s favourite classics such as almond twists. What’s more, they have a great selection of savoury dishes, including smoked salmon and meatball sandwiches.

This one-off bakery is definitely one of London’s best, especially if you’re after something that’s original. Located at the heart of every foodie’s paradise (that is, Borough Market) Bread Ahead serve delicious freshly baked bread to suit all tastes. They are known in particular for their large selection of incredible doughnuts that are overfilled with delicious fillings.

Now this is a definitely a one of a kind bakery, which is headed by one of the world’s best pastry chefs (no joke). Serving a delicious array of fresh croissants, cakes, and cookies, this is a bakery that you absolutely have to visit. They also offer their own unique creation known as a Cronut, which is an incredible combination of a doughnut with a croissant that takes three days to make.

This bakery has gone all out and certainly deserves a place on our list of the top 10 London bakeries. Proud to present their very own stone mill, the E5 Bakehouse uses only locally sourced ingredients and creates the majority of their produce from scratch (that includes their preserves and some toppings). Most of their treats are made from sourdough, so be prepared to excite your tastebuds with incredible flavour combinations.
