As autumn is approaching, it’s time to start thinking about updating your wardrobe and think about what transitional pieces you want to bring in. With the weather getting slightly more colder and brisker, transitioning your clothing can be tricky as you’ll have some days where it’s warmer and some days where it’s hotter, you constantly feel as if you’re on a weather seesaw that constantly goes back and forth. This means dressing accordingly can become quite a challenge. The tip with transitioning periods are light layers. If the sun’s out but there might be chill in the air too, best to throw on an outfit that seems more summer appropriate then top it off with a light jacket. Light jackets can be easily taken on and off throughout the day and give you some warmth without bulking you up in fabric causing a huge unwanted sweat session. With that being said, here’s our top picks of light jackets to upgrade your autumn wardrobe with.

A classic piece and perhaps one of the best transitional pieces of clothing. A trench coat, although not necessarily a jacket, is great for autumn as it’s a great coat that’s still very light, doesn’t weigh you down or suffocate you with heat as the materials used, cotton namely are breathable.
