5 Life Gurus to Follow on YouTube or Instagram
Social media has now become an incredible platform where nearly anyone can become some sort of influencer, whether its an Instagram Model, a Vine Star, or even a meme creator. Why not watch someone who doesn’t inspire you to become envious of their lavish lifestyle but rather inspires YOU to live your best life!
Here are 5 Life Gurus To Follow on YouTube or Instagram.
Strive To Fit
Strive to Fit is a YouTube Channel hosted by vlogger and EM Resident Jamie. Although I’m not planning on doing anything involving the medical field, I like Jamie’s channel because she has a lot of tips and tricks on how to be more a productive and effective student.
I personally like to watch her “Study With Me” videos, in which Jamie will usually use the Pomodoro Technique, and viewers can study with Jamie virtually in real-time with the Pomodoro Timer on the screen.
Jamie also has many tips and tricks involving memorization techniques, ways to help you concentrate better, as well as ways to effectively study for long periods of time.
Evan Carmichael
Evan Carmichael is an entrepreneur for businesses and an author, but perhaps is best known for his YouTube channel in which he often highlights ANY SUCCESSFUL PERSON EVER in his “Top 10 Rules” segments.
I often like to watch Evan’s Channel for some a bit of morning motivation. I find it quite fascinating how Evan is able to find so many tips and tricks of so many famous people such as Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Elon Musk, and much more than you can even think of; all of these tips are found through a collage of interviews that Evan will find.
Evan often gives success tips and tricks of his own and even live streams with other business owners who also give their take on productivity.
Gary Vaynerchuk (or Gary Vee)
Gary Vaynerchuck is perhaps one of the best-known entrepreneurs and internet personalities right now. He is known for his loud and no-nonsense personality, as well as very blunt take when it comes to other business owners and those who call themselves “entrepreneurs” (but don’t act like one).
Gary’s videos are often found on YouTube and Instagram. I personally like to scroll on Instagram and watch small clips from his YouTube channel DailyVee and especially the #AskGaryVee show where Gary will often answer questions from fans from his social media accounts regarding entrepreneurship and business and sometimes personal topics.
Mel Robbins
Mel Robbins is an American television host, author, and motivational speaker. She is perhaps best known for both her TED talk “How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over”, as well as her AMAZING BOOK “The 5 Second Rule.”
I first found Mel Robbins on her YouTube channel. In my opinion, she is the master of not only coming up with techniques with how to beat procrastination but she often analyzes the reason as to why we often procrastinate-down to a literal science!
When I read Mel’s book, “The 5 Second Rule”, I learned that if you can’t pinpoint the inner cause-which is often stress and anxiety of the task-then it’s almost impossible to beat it.
Mel has both an inspiring YouTube Channel as well as Instagram in which she often shares productivity tips on a weekly basis, as well as answer questions from fans often related towards understanding their “blocking point”, and recently started to do podcasts.
Shameless Maya
Maya Washington a.k.a Shameless Maya is a well-known YouTuber/ Lifestyle Blogger. Maya’s platform started when she first asked the question “What would happen if I shamelessly promoted myself for 365?” in which she committed to promoting herself on a variety social platforms on a regular basis for a year, and today that year has turned into turned an amazing 6 years and counting.
Maya is known for posting videos regarding lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and much more. I first learned about Maya during her much earlier videos regarding curly hair, and where she gained a significant following in the beauty community.
She also gained a lot of traction from her epic “Tech Talk” videos where she shares lots of tips and tricks as all things regarding technology, especially for photographers and bloggers.
I think that Maya is a great blogger to follow because she reflects many young adults who are still trying to figure out who they are and what they would like to do. Maya doesn’t pretend (like many other bloggers) that her life is perfect, she doesn’t just show the amazing parts about her life-like jumping out of an airplane, she also shows us the raw and intense moments, and then shares what she’s learned from that experience.
