K-Beauty otherwise known as Korean Beauty has tremendously grown the past few years. The main focus of K-Beauty is for one to highlight their natural skin rather than caking on layers of makeup to cover up trouble spots. Many Korean Beauty lover seek to achieve the hydrated and dewy skin that many celebrities and actresses (men and women) all seem to have! Check out the different types of Korean skincare!
Within Korean skincare there are so many trends already. From one “pack a day”, referring to sheet masking every single day, to the “glass skin” trend, where one creates transparent looking skin where there are no visible pores and is essentially what we would describe to be perfect skin.
The biggest trend I would have to say is the “Ten Step Korean Skincare Routine” where one uses TEN different products every night. A typical ten step routine starts off with a make-up remover then follows up with your water-based cleanser. After all your makeup is off, you move on to exfoliating your skin. Then you tone and hydrate your skin with an essence. Then comes any treatments such as ampoules or serums. After that you lock everything in with a sheet mask of your choice. After all the nutrients are on your skin you lock it all in with an eye cream and moisturizer. And last but not least you must follow up with sunscreen for skin protection!
Another interesting thing that Korean Beauty incorporates is the unique ingredients they use in their products. Who would’ve ever thought of incorporating snail mucin or goat milk into their everyday skincare routine? But the reason many purchase these products over and over again is simply due to the results they see with Korean skincare.
Women from all around the globe look up to these Korean women, asking for their secret to their perfect skin. Today there is no doubt that you can find Korean skincare products easily today. Anywhere from Sephora to Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom and Amazon carries everything you need to start your Korean Beauty adventure today. So don’t wait to achieve your best skin yet with Korean skincare!
