Korean Face Masks You Need To Check Out

Face masks are wonderful ways for you to pamper your skin and treat yourself for a night in, or after a long hard day’s worth of work to restore and refresh your skin. There are many different kinds of masks you can try, and I say go try any and all that appeal to you! After living in South Korea for four months last year, I found some of my favorite Korean face masks and would love to share them with you.

Nature Republic Snail Solution Sample Mask Sheets

Snail masks were a trendy, weird and viral mask a few years ago (and maybe they still are now) but during that phase, no one ever really explained what the benefits of having snail essence in a mask were. It was just like, “Hey, we have SNAIL in face masks!! That is CRAZY, right?” which was pretty crazy, but I personally don’t remember any company or spokesperson explain the benefits. Of course, I could have googled it, and that would give me an answer, but some benefits are it is anti-aging, prevents wrinkles, repairs, and restores, leaves the skin firm, flexible, and plump, treats dry skin, even out skin tone, control acne and visibly tighten pores. These are good for combination, dry, normal and oily skin.

There are many benefits to it and I got this face masks for free while in Korea and it did wonders for my skin. Many face masks are most effective after you refrigerate them, and this one is one of those. I believe most of them will say on the back if refrigerating makes them more effective or there should be a picture of a refrigerator on the back.

Laneige Water Bank Double Gel Soothing Mask

These face masks are soothing, just like the name of them states. They help with dark circles, relieve dryness and hydrate your skin. The water gel in these particular face masks lowers the skin’s surface temperature to make you feel that soothing effect. Green tea and chamomile are ingredients in the mask which soothe and moisturize the skin. The thick hydrogel soothes the skin exposed to UV rays, seeping deep into the skin to keep it moisturized. It’s suggested to apply toner after using to keep all the nutrients in your face and to help keep it moisturized for longer. These face masks are good for combination, dry, normal and oily skin.

The Face Shop Bio-Cell Mask Sheet

For this one there are four different face masks that have ingredients that target specific issues you want to improve or repair, and the specific masks will help with that one issue faster. The four different face masks are moisturizing, brightening, firming and recovery.

The moisturizing mask has a hydrating serum that contains multi-sized Hyaluronic Acid particles, which promote healthier and more supple skin. If you’re dealing with dry skin, this is the one for you. The brightening mask has a hydrating serum that contains Glutathione which will give you a bright and healthy complexion. If you want to brighten the skin on your face and try to even out your complexion try this one out. The firming mask contains a Collagen serum which restores elasticity and firmness to give you supple baby-like skin. If you want to keep the firmness your skin currently has, or have started to see the beginning phases of your skin losing it, use these. The recovery masks a Madecassoside serum that soothes irritated skin due to the elements. If you’ve been out in the sun, dry air, cold or any harsh conditions, this mask is for you.

Innisfree Skin Solution Mask

These face masks are similar to the one before, where they have different masks to target different and specific things you want to address. Allowing that option means whatever issues or blemishes or things you notice on your face can be targeted and treated without altering anything else majorly on your face. It is always nice to benefit your face as a whole, but targeting specific issues helps to improve that one thing faster usually.

They each do what is stated on the mask, and if you get packs that come with all of them, but don’t want to use maybe the soothing masks because you’re in an office all day, you should totally give them to friends as gifts for the holiday season or just as a gift to say I appreciate you. Or host a spa night with your friends and let them use the masks you won’t use! Don’t let these beauties go to waste.

Mediheal Tea Tree Essential Blemish Control Sheet Mask

This blemish control soothing mask works wonders and is one of my personal favorites. I got it because when I arrived in Korea, I started breaking out on my nose and forehead and saw this and tried it out. I think my skin adjusting to South Korea’s environment, water and my diet helped a lot, but these masks were also one of the few things I was using and I give it some credit.

This face mask will assist in giving you clear, smooth skin. It has willow bark infused in it which will exfoliate pore build-up, has rosemary and tea tree oil which will target breakouts while chamomile and Asiatic pennywort will soothe redness. The combo of all these ingredients will help fight acne and also prevent new spots from forming.

Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Sheet Mask

This is a moisturizing face mask that will bring life back into your skin, make you glow afterward and enhance products you apply afterward because your skin should absorb them faster and look healthier. I recommend putting this mask on before doing your skincare routine before bed or in the morning so that your skin really absorbs all the goodies you’re going to put on your face! This mask is good for all skin types.
