Chicago is known for many of its Instagrammable spots–walls, stores, restaurants, and just Chicago, in general, is beautiful–who wouldn’t want to live there? The best part about Chicago is its beauty and the places you can go to. Everything is so different and unique, and there’s always something new to try.
While Chicago is great regardless, drinking there is even better. It doesn’t matter the time of year or time of day, this city can drink. While some of the drinks go above and beyond, so do the bars. While almost all the bars in Chicago I’ve walked into have some level of Instagram appeal, here are the 10 most Instagrammable bars.
Joy District is known for it’s chic and fun vibe in River North. With 3 levels (including a rooftop), you can get some great pictures here–whether it’s of you and your friends, something you’re eating, or just the aesthetic, you are guaranteed one good Insta pic. If you want to go super over the top, come here for Sunday brunch!
With its Hawaiian vibe, you can’t beat three dots and a dash for getting a good Insta pic. From the drinks to the décor, you will not want to miss any of these insta opportunities. Make sure your phone is fully charged!
Cindy’s is a rooftop bar in downtown Chicago and has the best views. Head up here on a summer day with some pals and enjoy the view, but of course, take some pics!
If summer were a bar, it would be the Hampton Social. This bright and airy bar screams Malibu but is in the middle of Chicago. With the leave covered wall and a sign that reads “Rosé all day”, you’ll never want to leave!
The River is a super fun and laid-back bar with a rustic vibe. The glowing sign that reads “Riv Your Best Life”, makes a fun Instagram story and post. The best is that it’s in Lincoln Park, so drinks aren’t nearly as expensive as some places!
Just another swanky rooftop bar, but definitely worth the visit. This is where you want to go on a beautiful day outside with your friends and snap some cute pics with drinks in your hand!
It’s trailer park trash, but even better! Paradise Park is what you would imagine a “high class” trailer park to look like if you can even imagine that. From the fun outdoor vibe to their drinks, this place is no doubt Instagram heaven!
This has a Spanish vibe to it but is still so Instagram-worthy. The deep reds, black velvet, and leather couches make this place high class, but still a ton of fun. This is exactly the type of place you see Mr. Grey meeting Ana for a date of some sort.
Old Grounds has a super fun vibe–it reminds me of a cool basement or garage that has a bunch of mish-mosh things on the walls and as décor. While one room is covered in cereal boxes and the other has fun signs all around, you can’t go wrong. They even serve unlimited mimosas in a giant science beaker (brunch vibes for sure)!
Although this is technically a restaurant, I had to include it because of the over-the-top desserts. From Marie Antoinette’s head like cotton candy to a giant $100 bill, these desserts are totally Instagram worthy. While they can be up to $100 in price, they are totally worth it (just bring a few friends to help you eat it).
