Although I love reading fashion blogs and magazines for style inspiration, sometimes I’m feeling a little too lazy for that. Luckily, many fashion bloggers and other influencers have turned to Instagram as an outlet to document their personal style. Checking out their feeds is an easy way to get quick inspiration, not only for outfits, but also for room decor and photography tips you can use when taking your own #ootd shots. Below are 15 edgy Instagram fashion bloggers that you need to follow!
Nashville native Mary Seng began as a nurse. But the success of her blog Happily Grey led her to ditch the scrubs less than two years after launching it. She’s now a full-time fashion blogger with over 800,000 followers on Instagram who love her sleek style with a western twist.
In 2015, Kaitlynn Carter and her longtime friend Tiana Haraguchi founded “Foray Collective,” an online shopping destination for women to discover style inspiration and emerging, cutting-edge designers. Her Instagram offers style inspiration as well, showcasing her edgy approach to bohemian, SoCal style.
Rachel Martino got her start making YouTube videos of her favorite hairstyles and beauty tips. Her love of beauty eventually influenced her to move from Nashville to New York City where she now runs her style blog, Rach Martino. She has a self-described “part pin-up, part ultra-feminine with a twist” style that’s chic and colorful.
Carmen Grace Hamilton exudes ‘It’ girl vibes. With a closet made up of mostly of red, white, and black, she’s curated a style you’d expect from a Parisian rockstar. In reality, she’s neither, although she does run an uber-cool site called “CHRONICLES OF HER.COM” where you can find out where she and other cool women shop the outfits they wear on a daily basis.
I actually discovered Juliana Salazar on “CHRONICLES OF HER.COM” where she was interviewed for “An ‘It Girl’s Guide to New York” (which every New Yorker should check out.) As they put it, you should check her out since “she pretty much makes a living out of consulting for a bunch of cool brands” (i.e. she tells them what’s hawt and what’s nawt), and she’s a regular on the NYFW street style scene. Moreover, she often posts killer outfit pics on her Instagram.
If there’s one feed I aspire to achieve one day, it’s Viktoria Dahlberg’s. (She does work as a professional photo retoucher so her impeccable feed is understandable). Originally from Sweden, she now resides in New York City. Beyond outfit inspiration, her Williamsburg apartment is adorable and was even featured on the Urban Outfitters blog.
Viktoria’s sister, Josefin Dahlberg, has equally cute style, plus an even cuter boyfriend. She runs a blog that’s written in Swedish, but hey- that’s what Google Translate is for.
The only thing more enviable than Anneke Knot’s effortless, feminine style is her gorgeous hair. She shares the secrets of how to achieve both on her blog Knot Couture. Her beautifully color-coordinated feed also serves as great inspiration for delicious meals and gorgeous flower arrangements.
Babba Canales always looks put together. Her outfits make great inspiration for office style and Vogue even consulted her for their piece “This Is the Swedish It Girl’s Secret to Easy Office Style.” She was also named as one of Forbes “30 Under 30” for her successful Fashion Week collaboration with Rag & Bone.
The bio of Julie Sariñana’s Instagram describes her as a “California Girl + Globe Trotter”. Indeed, her feed is full of outfit pics in exotic destinations. Her bohemian, SoCal style makes for the perfect summer outfit inspiration, and you can even shop the pieces she wears on her clothing line Shop Sincerely Jules .
Audree Kate began her blog Simply Audree Kate as a hobby and resume builder while in college at Arizona State University. It took off however, growing into a global brand and business, and Audree now works as a stylist, fashion consultant, and editor in New York City (aka the coolest job ever). Her Instagram bio describes her as a “Lover of lipstick, food & vintage” and her feed serves as inspiration for all those things, as well as fearless, fun outfit ideas.
Janelle Marie Lloyd wins the award for best Instagram handle. The Atlanta native moved to New York City where she got her start in the fashion industry working in the Bloomingdale’s buying office before moving onto working as a freelance wardrobe and prop stylist for the likes of Ralph Lauren and Club Monaco. Her style is sophisticated, yet still casual enough to rock on the streets.
As the blog Man Repeller put it, “Jeanne Damas is the Epitome of ‘French Girl Cool.'” The French model and clothing designer’s refined, elegant style is the perfect inspiration for anyone trying to emulate Parisian style (aka everyone).
Alyssa Coscarelli works as the fashion marketing editor at Refinery29 so you know she’s got to have good style. Her outfits are cute, quirky, and never boring; perfect style inspiration for lovers of vintage.
No list of fashion Instagrammers would be complete without Aimee Song. She has 4.6 million Instagram followers, was named as one of Forbes “30 Under 30,” and wrote a New York Times bestselling book on how to be an Instagram boss called #CAPTUREYOURSTYLE which I frequently consult for photography tips.
