Instagram has grown beyond just being a social media platform for posting pictures of your meal. Nowadays, you can find accounts devoted to almost any topic, so much so that it can be difficult to find the right accounts to follow. If you are looking to learn, here is a helpful list of ten educational instagram accounts!

1. @how2drink

Greg from “how2drink” has made a name for himself by recreating different cocktails from your favorite television shows and movies. His Instagram is a collection of cocktail and drink photography, often showcasing his awesome home bar. If you have ever watched a film that showcased alcohol prominently and wondered how to mix a particular drink, this is the account for you. The “how2drink” Instagram account generally acts as a preview for the “How to Drink” Youtube channel. Lately, Greg has also started uploading tutorials on soda making. If you are not a fan of cocktails or of alcohol generally, these tutorials are definitely still worth watching. It is interesting to see how your favorite sodas and cocktails are made!

You can find tutorials on everything from classics, like the Sazerac or the Mai Tai, to new variations, like the Cognac Negroni. Kimber also has a website where he posts thorough recipes and instructions, as well as a Youtube channel with instructional videos.

Have you ever watched Good Mythical Morning on Youtube and wondered who was cooking all of the crazy food? Well, it is Mythical Chef Josh and his kitchen team. On the “mythicalkitchen” Instagram page, you will find everything from easy quarantine recipes to Starburst Klondike Bars. The account is full of photos of the Mythical Kitchen’s incredible concoctions. Most of these Instagram posts will direct you to the “Mythical Kitchen” Youtube page, where you will find in depth video explanations of all of their various culinary creations. Claiming to be the “home of human ingenuity,” The Science Museum is a London based museum that is considered culturally significant. Its Instagram account, “sciencemuseum,” is devoted to cataloguing photography of scientific invention and natural phenomena. These photos are often accompanied by descriptions detailing the history of different scientists and inventors. If you are eager to learn more about the history of scientific innovation, then “sciencemuseum” is the perfect account for you.
