10 Icy Drink Recipes You’ll Enjoy By The Pool

Summertime was made for delicious icy drinks that can, and should, be enjoyed by the pool during a backyard barbeque. Whether you’ve got summers off, are on a much-needed vacation, or have gotten home after a long day of work and other responsibilities, you should definitely be allowed to wind down with an icy beverage that screams summer. So, slip on some shorts or a bathing suit and indulge in one of these 1o icy drink recipes that were made to be enjoyed while lounging by a pool.

1. Watermelon Frozen Rose:

Frozen rose will always be one of my go-to drinks. To make this perfect summer beverage even better why not add watermelon to it? Watermelon will always make me think of long summer days, lounging by the pool, and fun barbeques on summer nights. Blend Watermelon, rose, and ice together in a blender and be prepared for the deliciousness. Also, be prepared for the tons of Instagram comments about wanting the recipe.

2.  Key Lime Pie Margarita:

Margarita’s were made to be sipped while lounging around the pool. Which makes it a perfect summer drink. Citrus fruits are also synonymous with summer, and everyone loves dessert, so it makes perfect sense that a key lime pie margarita would be a drink of choice for many. Mix together key lime cream liquor, triple sec, tequila, and add a little sweetener of your choice. Stir, add a little drink umbrella, and enjoy!

3. Sweet Tea Slushies:

If your favorite summer drink is Sweet Tea, then you’ll be more than excited for this slushie beverage. Just add sweet tea, ice, and a bit of lemon juice to the blender. This drink could also be pretty versatile since you can make it with many different kinds of teas. It’ll taste as good as your mom’s sweet tea, but if you feel like it needs a kick, add a little vodka. Let’s make frozen tea a drink staple this summer.

4.  Tropical Slushie:

Summertime calls for some tropical flavors. Blend together frozen peaches, pineapples, and mangos. Then be sure to add some pineapple juice for some extra tropical flavor and blend the delicious slushie up again. When you’re dreaming of the perfect summer getaway or tropical vacation to the Bahamas from your cubicle drink this slushie. It will at least help you feel like you’re halfway there.

5.  Sangria Wine Slushies:

Sometimes you just need a glass of sangria after a busy day of summer activities or a crazy day of work. But in order to make a favorite wine even better, you have to turn it into a delectable slushie. Blend your favorite sangria with some fresh berries and ice and you’ll have a great summer party pleaser. Garnish with some whole berries, and your party pleaser will also be beautiful as well.

6. Coke Icee:

This recipe has only two mandatory ingredients and is as easy to make as it gets. But, that in no way means that it’s any less tasty than any other drink recipe on this list. To make this drink, just put ice and Coke into a blender and mix until you get your desired Icee consistency. Who wouldn’t love a coke Icee? No one, that’s who. That’s also why this recipe would be perfect for anyone at a pool party; you, your mom, and your younger cousin. But this mix would accompany rum or Jack daniels perfectly if you wanted to add a little to your own glass.

7. Creamsicle Slushie:

If your favorite summer treat is an orange creamsicle popsicle, then you’ll love this creamsicle slushie. With this drink, you’ll be taking a classic ice cream treat on the go, or at least across the yard to your favorite lounging spot. You can make this drink with three ingredients and a healthy twist as if summer couldn’t get any better. Just add frozen orange juice cubes, vanilla greek yogurt, and a touch of honey to the blender and mix it up!  As with all of these drinks, you could add a little vodka to the mix if you feel like it needs a little extra buzz.

8. Blue Moscato Margarita:

For a sweet yet deliciously boozy drink go for a blue Moscato margarita. Blend together ice, triple sec, blue curacao, Moscato, Tequila, and lime juice. This drink would be great for one of those long, relaxing summer days that includes nothing else on the agenda other than lounging. I mean, just look at it, that’s what it was truly made for. Make it look extra pretty with a lime and blueberry garnish. You’re sure to love the way this colorful drink will look in all of your Instagram pictures. Pour it into a cute glass or mason jar, add a colorful straw, and you’ll be all set!

9. Strawberry Lemonade Slushies:

When it comes to classic summer drink combinations, strawberry lemonade pretty much takes the cake. Regular lemonade is great, of course, but the sweetness from the strawberries compliments the sour from the lemons. I also feel like nothing reminds most people of childhood summers quite like strawberry lemonade. For this slushie, add lemonade, ice, and frozen strawberries to a blender and then you’re ready for a sip of nostalgia. To booze up this drink for a party, just add a little vodka and you’ll be good to go.

10. Pineapple And Rum Slushie:

For a drink that means summer vacation for every grown-ass woman, go for a pineapple and rum slushie. What goes better together than pineapple and rum? Not much else. Be sure to be completely relaxing out by your pool or patio, as that is what this particular drink was made for. You can make this delicious drink by mixing up frozen or fresh pineapple, a little bit of ice, and of course, a rum of your choice. With just three ingredients, you could have the best poolside cocktail that’ll be the envy of your whole neighborhood.
