I Was On A Flight With A Celeb And This Is How They Were Treated

Getting to be on a flight with a celeb is something I didn’t think would happen to me. I once flew from Los Angeles to Wilmington, North Carolina to attend a One Tree Hill convention. It was a fun trip with my best friend to geek out over one of our all-time favorite television shows. We spent a lot of money on passes to the convention as well as on photo opportunities with several of the actors. We even took a tour of filming locations from the show.

The entire trip was a blast and we enjoyed every second of it, but the best part came when we were on our way back to Los Angeles.

Lee Norris, known for playing the role of “Mouth” on One Tree Hill as well as the infamous role of “Minkus” on Boy Meets World,  had been spotted by fans at the Wilmington airport the night before, so my best friend and I were surprised to find Norris sitting at our gate the following morning.

Due to storms in the area, the poor guy’s flight had been cancelled the night before. At 4:30 a.m., we approached the tired actor, thanked him for such a great weekend at the convention and asked for some photos.

He ended up being on our connecting flight to Charlotte as well as our flight back to sunny Los Angeles.

The funny thing is, not a single other person on our flights recognized him. He was wearing a baseball cap and remained anonymous the entire trip. He sat in economy and got up to use the airplane bathroom once and no one batted an eye. Well, no one except for me and my friend. We had never been on a plane with a celebrity before and were kind of freaking out about the odds of it happening.

Once our flight arrived in Los Angeles, we had to wait a while to get our bags.

Norris waited, also. He still went unrecognized. It was hilarious to my friend and I, of course. Didn’t any of these people grow up watching Boy Meets World? We felt as if we were in on a secret because no one else realized who he was.

Sure, we didn’t travel on a flight across the country with an A-lister, but it was still a fun and once in a lifetime experience that we will always look back on fondly. We also get to brag about the time we were once on a flight with a celeb.

Have you ever been on a flight with a celeb? What was it like? Tell us in the comments!
