When we read over our new year’s resolution list, we can’t help but cringe at our workout goals. If you’re the type of person who follows through on all your tasks and goals, that is amazing and way to go you. However, if you’re like me, where you start a new hobby or set a new goal but realize it’s not as easy or what you expected and give up. Well this time, I took out that list, checked off my completed goals, and finally worked up the motivation to hit the gym. Except, I didn’t have a gym membership, nor did I want to leave the house. So, after watching an episode of Shark Tank, I learned about a work-out app called Sworkit. It is an odd name to say, but after learning about their company and what their app offers, I quickly invested. Here’s why I believe Sworkit is worth every penny.
First off, their 30-day trial is free, so if you don’t like, simply cancel your free trial. However, in the free trial, there are ads that distract you from your workouts. Their ad-free membership is only $12.99 a month, or you can purchase the annual package which is currently on sale for $79.99. If you research through Retail Me Not or Groupon, you can find coupons for 20% off your purchase whether monthly or annual.
With Sworkit you never have to leave the comfort of your own home. The workouts are performed on the floor, so you don’t need any weights or heavy machinery. Workout equipment is pricey, and you have to have a room dedicated to the equipment. With Sworkit you can workout at home in any room with extra space without selling any furniture.
When you sign up with Sworkit, they will walk you through each workout plan on what you wish to focus on such as being stronger, leaner, or fitter. From there, you complete your training exorcises by performing each workout session. You can mix and match exorcises, so you can do cardio for five minutes then switch to yoga to relax and slower your heart rate.
If you’re the kind of person that needs structure when working out, Sworkit has your back. You can monitor your progress and calculate as the calories you’ve burned off within the past day, week or month. You can even set daily reminders or reminder for when you’ve been inactive after a certain amount of days.
Working out at home with Sworkit can also be done in your backyard, garage, friend’s house, local park, poolside, beach side, or wherever you enjoy working out. Sworkit’s app can be downloaded on any device and taken with you anywhere. You can even project Sworkit onto your television for larger viewing.
Sworkit is not only a great workout app, it also teaches yoga and pilates. You can customize how many rounds you wish to perform whether as a warm up or full body workout. Even if you have no idea what a mountain or tree pose is, Sworkit has virtual instructors that show you how to perform each pose at a comfortable speed.
When working out, we a need a little musical therapy to motivate us. On the Sworkit app, you can connect your playlists from Spotify and silence any background sounds or music from Sworkit while working out.
With Sworkit, you can earn medals after completing a certain amount of time per workout. For five minutes, you earn a bronze medal. For fifteen minutes, you earn a silver medal. For thirty minutes or more you earn a gold medal. This is another positive motivator to keep working out and shedding those calories.
After a week of using Sworkit, I felt stronger and more motivated to work out since the app is easy to use, follow, and perform. You can feel the calories shedding from your body. I really enjoyed the fact that I can workout at home and not have to travel to the gym. I am self-conscious about working out alone in a gym because I never know what I’m supposed to be doing. With Sworkit, I work out when I what and where I want.
