How To Use Halloween Candy In Any Tasty Dessert Recipe

Trick or treat? Nope, just treats today! This year, instead of tossing out all of that leftover Halloween candy in the trash, you’re going to put those sweets to good use! Your extra Halloween candy can be reused in almost any tasty dessert, you just have to get creative with it. So check out these yummy recipes you can make with your Halloween candy!

Halloween Candy Blondies

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 2 cups chopped of leftover Halloween candy (Snickers, M & Ms!)

Use up all of your extra Halloween chocolate with these goodies! Take your coworkers some “Happy Monday” blondies the weekend after Halloween to welcome them back!

In my opinion, Snickers and M & Ms work best, but you can’t go wrong with a good Kit Kat too.

Reese’s Pieces Stuffed Brownies

  • 1 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 12 pieces of leftover Reese’s

Chocolate and peanut butter go so well together! In this delicious dessert, put your leftover Reese’s Pieces to good use and add them to your brownies. You’ll definitely need a tall glass of milk when you’re done eating one of these!

Malted Milk Ball Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup of butter softened
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar packed
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of quick-cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/4 cups of the leftover malted milk balls chopped
  • 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Malted Milk Balls might not be the most popular Halloween candy, but instead of throwing them away, try using them in this chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe! It’s fun to use malted milk balls in this recipe as an alternative to chocolate chips. This way, you get a hint of chocolate and that extra malted flavor the candy adds. Who knows? You might find yourself loving a new candy!

Snickers Ice Cream Sandwich

Ingredients Needed:

  • 2 Snickerdoodle cookies
  • 2 scoops of ice cream of your choice
  • leftover crushed Snickers
  • drizzled hot fudge
  • drizzled hot caramel

Do I even need to give you a reason as to why you should make these? Just look at that picture! We used Snickerdoodles as our cookie top and bottom in this recipe, but feel free to substitute it with any cookie you like (if you want to get really crazy, use the previous Malted Milk Ball Cookies recipe)! As long as you have the Snickers, you’re golden!

Milky Way Lava Cake

Ingredients Needed:

  • 10 tablespoons of salted butter
  • 8 ounces of dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 2/3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 scraped vanilla bean
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 regular-sized Milky Way candy bar chopped
  • vanilla ice cream

Personally, the Milky Way chocolate bar is my favorite candy, so I’m a little biased when it comes to this dessert. But come on, who wouldn’t want an ooey-gooey chocolate lava cake? Just add a big scoop of vanilla ice cream to top it all off. If the ice cream starts melting in with the chocolate cake, you did it right!

Peanut Butter Butterfinger Cheesecake

Ingredients (crust):

  • 18 whole Oreos
  • 1/4 cup of melted unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup melted peanut butter for drizzling

Ingredients (filling):

  • 24 ounces of softened full-fat cream cheese
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup of full-fat sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 regular-size chopped Butterfinger candy bars

Cheesecake might be the best thing that ever happened since sliced bread. In this tasty treat, use all of your leftover Butterfingers to complete the cheesecake recipe. Although this dish might one of the harder desserts to make on this list, it’s definitely worth it!

You’ll give The Cheesecake Factory a run for their money!

Candy Corn Pretzel Bark

Ingredients Needed:

  • 24 ounces of chopped vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark)
  • 2 cups of broken thin pretzel sticks
  • 2 1/2 cups of candy corn

This Halloween treat is festive and simple! At least in my family, we always end up having a bunch of leftover candy corn, and while it looks sweet, there’s almost too much to eat. So use it all up by melting it onto some pretzels! Candy Corn Pretzel Bark is also a perfect party platter!

If you want to take this recipe to the next level, just know there are other versions of it made with cookies.

Candy Brownie Trifle

Ingredients Needed:

  • a bunch of leftover Halloween chocolates
  • a baked up 9×13 brownie, chocolate pudding
  • whipping cream

Not only does this dessert look CUTE AF, but it tastes incredible, too! The great thing about trifles, is that you can make them as large or as small as you want, it’s entirely up to you and your guests! If you do decide to make a giant candy trifle, make sure to get the large see-through glass cake bowl to layer your sweets. The main reason why people make this dessert is because of how cool it looks! Keep the pattern going and stack layer on top of layer, until you reach the top!
