How To Throw A Festive AF Easter Brunch On A Budget

Easter brunch is a good meal to invite your fellow friends and family. This day is also a day to celebrate for Christians, it is the day Jesus Christ was resurrected. It is also one of the first days of the vernal equinox. Here is a list of how to throw a festive AF Easter brunch on a budget.

1. Host Where?

The best place to host Easter brunch is at home, but it is also good to host at potlucks at your local church, or in other locations like at your family or friend’s house. You can host this brunch anywhere and it would still be fine. The only things you would have to worry about would be about the food and decorations.

2. Decorations

To celebrate this Easter holiday, you should decorate your house with ivory and pastel colors for your buffet-style Easter brunch. Decorate your house with white or pastel vases and place fresh tulips and daffodils in them and place your dishes in a decorative fashion. The best Easter brunch should consist of a combination of sweet and savory dishes that are either homemade or are store-bought from the sides to the desserts that will be offered this Easter.

3. Food Options

Side dishes for brunches consist of fruit and green salad, but there are also other sides that are not only delicious but are good for your budget. These other sides, you could also serve, include a variety of deviled eggs, dips (garlic hummus, french onion dip, bean dip, and queso), potato salad, strata, and quiches. You could also serve sliced bagels, rye bread, rolls, and crackers alongside the meals you have prepared so your guests can make their meals.

When you serve the main course for your guests in the early hours of the day, be kind not just to them but yourself. Plan your meals ahead with cooking the night before, or you could buy premade food from the store. Main course meals like rotisserie chicken, turkey and ham are good meals for this holiday brunch because they will make the room look and smell good. The same goes for this holiday’s desserts.

You would think that desserts are counter-intuitive on a day when sweets are abundant. However, that is not the case with this brunch. Plus, it is a holiday brunch and holidays demand desserts that will stand out this holiday. The best desserts for Easter brunch consist of sweet potatoes, sweetbreads (zucchini bread and banana bread), muffins, coffee cakes, and carrot cake. This Easter brunch also needs a repertoire of drinks to go with this buffet-style meal.

4. Drink Options (Alcoholic/Alcohol-free)

Alcohol

A Screwdriver is a somewhat popular highball alcoholic drink, which is made with orange juice and vodka. Vodka comes in many varieties and quality. When mixing these types of drinks, you need to use top-shelf vodka. Absolute Elyx, Grey Goose VX, and Svedka 100 Proof are just a few of these types of vodka to use. This cocktail is popular in brunch settings like Easter brunch, for example. A Screwdriver may be a basic alcoholic concoction with two ingredients, but to 21-year-old college students and hosts on a budget, this drink is the cheapest way to indulge themselves and the people around them.

A Mojito is a good option for an Easter brunch cocktail. It is also a good option for people with diabetes if you replace the sugar in the simple syrup with a natural sweetener like Stevia or a sugar substitute like Splenda. If you want to host an Easter brunch with this particular drink, you need to get quality white rum. White rum comes in many varieties and quality. When mixing these types of drinks, you need to use top-shelf white rum. Bambu, 10 Crane, and Rogue are just a few of these types of white rum to use for alcoholic beverages like Mojitos. A Mojito not only uses white rum, but it also consists of other ingredients like lemon and lime juice, sugar (replace with sugar substitute), mint, ice, and sparkling water (or club soda).

Alcohol-free

Water is a good alcohol-free drink with no added ingredients required. The reason it is a good drink to have for this particular occasion is that you do not know what your guests will want to drink for this occasion. Another reason for this beverage to be a part of the alcohol-free repertoire is because it is an inexpensive drink that is produced not only in houses and other locations, it is also produced in water bottles at your local convenience and drug stores. When you pour the drink in a tall or short glass, you can garnish the drink with lemon or lime wedges (if your guests want them on the glass).
