How To Stop Overthinking Everything And Live A Happier Life
Overthinking is the worst trait you can possess. It will have you obsessing over things you don’t even need to be, which will then lead to you believing things that aren’t true. Being an overthinker can kill your happiness which will prohibit you from living a happy life! How do I know, I am one! Here’s how to stop overthinking everything and live a happier life.
I know firsthand how overthinking can literally have your mind running marathons over shit that is so simple and trivial. Like how a friend texted you “ok” instead of providing a substantial reply to your in-depth text, will make you wonder if your friend might be mad at you. You don’t have to live this way though, and it is unhealthy to do so.
To combat
To combat my excessive overthinking, I calm my mind down by going over how if whatever I am overthinking about is worth it. I usually always end up realizing how it’s not and I move on. It can be way too taxing on your mind to allow shit that won’t matter the next day or hell even in the next hour, stir your mind into crazy overzealous thoughts.
Accept that nothing is perfect
Life has a way as well of adding to our overthinking with the constant various trials and tribulations we face. Bills, aggravating jobs and relationship woes, are just a few of the things that are constant factors into our overthinking. Life is never going to be perfect though and it is also extremely short so, accepting that concept can help in realizing how you need to strive to live a happy life despite what may be going on.
Breath
When you can feel that your mind is about to go into “overthink mode” about something that pointless or just plain stupid, take a moment to just BREATH! Say a prayer to God to help ease your mind or go listen to some music by your favorite artist. Do not let your overthinking kill you from inside out! Live your life!
