Internships are a great way to gain experience in your field while boosting your resume. However, when you feel lost, it can be easy to lose sight of why you are there. Take a deep breath and look back at everything you have done with the company so far. If someone truly needs to reach you, they can call or text you. Posts will still be there when your shift is over. Looking at social media while on duty will only make you envious of those who have off.

Keep it in your bag or in a drawer in your desk. If you need to make a phone call, use the company phone or pull out your phone, but put it away as soon as you finish looking at it. When you are feeling overwhelmed, avoid the temptation to keep working through the fog you are feeling. Do not eat your lunch at your desk. Go out to eat with coworkers or even alone. Take a brief walk or take a restroom break. Taking a brief break will help you take a step back and come back to work with a fresh set of eyes.
