How To Pack For Spring Break In A Carry On
Spring Break is by far the most anticipated break after winter vacation. Throughout the school year, friends and family will plan various trips such as going to the beach, Disneyworld or to the most popular destination— Mexico. While many people enjoy picking the perfect outfits and swimsuits for the trip, they usually end up like me and tremendously over pack. Traveling to the airport can be a huge hassle; from the price you pay for a checked bag to waiting for them at your destination, it’s time to say goodbye to checked luggage. With these eight awesome packing tips, you will say adios to your overweight and overstuffed suitcase forever and hello to your petite carry-on bag. 1. Find The Perfect Suitcase.
While this may seem like a no-brainer, there is such thing as the perfect carry on bag. The specific dimensions according to three major airlines are 22 inches high x 9 inches deep x 14 inches wide. This may not seem like a lot of room for someone who is downsizing from standard sized luggage, yet if you use the space efficiently, I promise all of your necessities for your trip will fit perfectly.

2. Create A Packing List.
Whenever I travel, I always write down a packing list. I love lists, especially packing lists. Writing a packing list not only keeps you organized, but it’s also fun to do. A packing list will keep you from over packing and make sure you bring what you need.

3. Roll Your Clothes.
This is a method that I began to adopt fairly recently. I have noticed that while rolling your clothes many not seem significant, in actuality it saves a ton of space in your suitcase. While taking a trip for spring break, the majority of the time you will be traveling to somewhere warm, so therefore there’s no need for a heavy clothing, which means swimsuits and shorts will be easy to pack.
4. Less Is More.
At home, many of us have huge bottles of shampoo and lotion along with other massive sized toiletries we won’t need for traveling. Therefore, by going out and purchasing small clear bottles to pour some of your necessities into will also be a great space saver in your luggage, and it also will be below the required liquid amount regulated by TSA.

5. Fill Empty Spaces.
This is another great tip to utilize especially when traveling with limited suitcase space. If you have smaller items, you can place them in a zip lock bag and put them into the pockets of any jacket pockets or tennis shoes you may have to save space.
6. Mix & Match.
Finally, the best piece of advice— pack clothing staples that can not only be worn multiple times but ones that can also be mix and matched with many different types of outfits. Don’t fret; most likely if you are staying at a hotel they have a laundry room available to their guests so you are able to do laundry if a dire situation arises.
7. Use Smaller Bags To Stay Organized.
Having smaller bags makes it easier to organize your toiletries in your carry-on. One makeup bag can be used for your toiletries while another can be used for your makeup.

8. Bring A Garbage Bag.
Okay, maybe you don’t have to bring a trash bag with you but, bring any empty bag in your carry on. The purpose of this is that when you come back from your vacation all your dirty clothes should go in a concealed bag. This will keep your dirty clothes from mixing with your clean clothes.
