Feeling confident in your own skin is something we all strive after. Sometimes, wearing makeup is a hassle, and other times we’re just lazy. Here are my best tips and tricks to look naturally beautiful without makeup.
Using moisturizer daily is something we all need to get in the habit of doing. It leaves your skin hydrated and feeling silky smooth and radiant. Invest in a nice moisturizer that has SPF to further protect your skin. Make sure you are moisturizing both day and night to get optimal results and naturally beautiful skin.
Using a nice facial brightening scrub will help minimize the appearance of pores on your face and make you glow from the inside out. Use a gentle exfoliator if you have sensitive skin and don’t over-exfoliate, which can strip away layers of skin. Always check the ingredients before purchasing, to make sure nothing is too harsh, uses chemicals or artificial scents. I recommend exfoliating in the shower once a week.
Toner is great for giving your skin an overall even tone, and minimizing redness as well. This is great if you have discoloration or dark spots, because it will instantly make them less visible. I like to use toner day and night after taking off my makeup and before moisturizing. Toners with witch hazel are especially good for your skin. Get ready to look naturally beautiful!
I swear by this stuff, I love it! I use the Overnight Glow Serum by Pixi at night after I have taken off my makeup and used toner. This step is so essential to getting naturally beautiful skin because you will wake up with a healthy, natural looking glow. It’s not sticky or thick, and glides nicely onto my skin. I highly recommend investing in this product, and bonus, you can find it at your local Target!
I cannot emphasize this enough, eat your fruits and veggies! Even if this means just getting a green smoothie in every day, or a bowl of fruit, that’s better than nothing. Eating these nutritious foods will help your skin look radiant and healthy from the inside out. Just another step on your way to getting beautiful skin that doesn’t even need makeup!
Drinking water is so good for you and your skin! If you want healthy, glowing skin, drink at least 7 glasses of water per day. If you don’t, your skin will look dull and dehydrated. Drinking enough water is such a simple thing that we all can improve on. Try adding some lemon or lime to your water if the taste is too bland. Plus, lemon water is great for your skin.
Wash your face! It’s that simple, I promise. Using a single makeup wipe to take off all your makeup is not the same as washing your face with a gentle cleanser. Washing your face properly helps to remove all that excess oil and dirt just waiting to clog your pores. Ew. So, before you go to bed wash your face. For me, I don’t need to wash my face in the morning, once a day is enough.
Using a face mask every once in a while is a great way to give your skin a break and pamper yourself at the same time. You can choose from sheet masks or mud masks, but either way it’s a great way to get naturally beautiful skin.
