How To Have The Best Beach Vacation

Every now and then, you could probably use a nice vacation. Life is usually fairly stressful and you deserve time to just relax. There are a lot of types of vacations for you if relaxing is your goal. You might also want to go on a vacation where you get to have entertaining time and go wild. What is a vacation that is both very calling and a lot of fun? This would be a trip to the beach. There are no specific obligations or schedules when you go to the beach, unlike some other types of trips. You get to decide how your days go and you can decide how much you want to do. Some of your days could just be lounging, other days could require a lot of energy for some lively ocean times. No matter what, your vacation will be a special time. However, there are some things that you need to think about ahead of time. You can’t just show up at the beach. Even though you are supposed to be relaxing, you will need to do some planning. Here are some tips so that your beach vacation will be absolutely incredible.

1. Bring Sunscreen

Going to the beach often means spending time in the sun. You are not going to be spending a lot of time in a building, it will mostly just be the sky above you. That is why you need to be prepared. You don’t want your beach vacation to be painful. That is why you are going to need to bring a lot of sunscreen. The lotion or the spray will each protect you. Just know that the lotion is usually more even and the spray is less messy. Also remember that the higher the SPF, the better. Put some on before you arrive at the beach so that you are already prepared. Then once you are there, reapply every couple of hours. Reapply more often if you are going to be spending time in the water. This is one of the most important rules of the beach and it can not be stressed enough. If you don’t wear sunscreen, your skin will be all red and burnt and can be damaged in the long run. Pack a lot of sunscreen for your trip and your body will thank you later.

2. Do Research On Different Beaches

So if you have decided to go to the beach for your vacation, you have made the first decision about your trip. However, there are many more decisions that you have to make quickly. One of the important decisions is which beach you want to go to. There are so many beaches in the world, so deciding that you want to go to the beach can only get you so far. A lot of time is required to think about your specific destination. You shouldn’t just close your eyes and throw a dart at a board. Ask yourself many questions about what you want on your vacation. Do you want to stay in the country? Do you want to go international? Do you want the beach to be remote? Do you want there to be a lot to do nearby? Is there a specific ocean you want to face? The list of questions just goes on and on. You need to go through all of them so you can figure out the perfect beach trip for you.

3. Check The Weather

A beach vacation is all about appreciating the great outdoors. You have no walls and you get to just soak in the fresh air. This can be a beautiful experience, but only if it is the right weather outside. Before you go on your vacation, you will need to check the weather. Of course, you won’t be able to check the weather that far ahead of time. You should still book your trip for a week where it is not expected to be that bad outside. Usually summer is the best time of year as that is when it is nice and warm, which is perfect for the beach. You should also do some research on the general weather for the city you are traveling to and see when they have the best weather and what weeks should be avoided because of storms. Once you get to vacation time, see what the weather will be like everyday before you get to the beach. If it is extra hot, bring some extra hats, fans, and cold drinks. If it is going to be cooler, bring some blankets and coverups. If it is going to rain, maybe take a beach break that day. Everyday should be fun in the sun, so try to make that happen.

4. Stay At A Nearby Resort

Once you get there, you are probably going to spend a lot of your vacation time on the beach. However, it is probably not best for you to stay there and sleep on the sand. That is why you need to book the right hotel. Even though your main concern will probably just be the beach, that doesn’t mean you should just book a random boring motel and call it a day. Your whole trip deserves to be enjoyable, so you should think of that when you are booking a hotel. First of all, you should make sure your hotel is very near the beach. You don’t want to take too long getting there,, so try to be within walking distance. It will also be fun if you stay somewhere really nice, like a resort. Resorts can often be found near beaches and they can really add to the experience. They can provide you with great restaurants, fun activities, and an atmosphere of relation. Plus, if you want to take a break from the beach, you could probably go swimming in a cool pool. All of your trip is important, so make all of your moments count.

5. Try To Arrive Early

The beach is always going to be in its spot no matter what, but that does not mean you will be able to enjoy it at all hours. There will always be a lot of people who have the idea to go to the beach on their vacation. Take that into consideration when planning your days. That is why each day you want to go to the beach, you should try to get there early in the morning. Even though it is vacation and you probably would prefer to sleep in, getting up early will be worth it. For starters, getting there early will mean less people. This will allow you to have a good place to put all of your stuff and you won’t be crowded by other people. This will guarantee you at least a few hours where you can have some carefree fun without worrying about other people. Going early is also a smart choice because of the temperature. It will start to get really hot in the afternoon because of where the sun is, so you will be more comfortable in the morning. In order to enjoy each day of that trip, each day should start early.

6. Plan Activities Ahead Of Time

There is a lot that you can do at the beach. It can be more than just walking in the sand and dipping your toes in the water. The whole beach is your oyster. While some activities you can play by ear, other activities you will need to plan ahead as they will affect your packing and budgeting. If you want to spend your time building sand castles, you should bring some buckets and shovels. If you want to go swimming, pack some swimsuits. If you want to just spend your day lounging, pack a towel to lay out and a good back. Think of what activities will make you happiest, and put that on your checklist. If there are activities where you don’t have the necessary items, put aside some money for items that you could rent on the beach, like a surfboard or snorkeling gear. You don’t want to show up at the beach and end up not having fun. This should be an amazing trip, so have some beach adventures that you will find to be wonderful.

7. Go With A Group Of Friends

A beach vacation can be an awesome time no matter what. However, there is a certain part of the trip that can make it extra awesome. That is when you bring a group of friends with you. Sometimes, vacationing can be exciting when you are alone. That mostly applies to trips where you explore. The beach is all about just taking a break and having a spectacular time. That time of experience is definitely improved when you are sharing that time with other people. All of you can spend time splashing each other in the water, making sand castles, partying at night, and so much more. You will be able to create some memories with your group that you would not necessarily be able to make if you traveled alone. Friends can also suggest some activities that you may not have thought of on your own, so you can try new things that you would not have tried otherwise. Vacations are a great time to bond, so use this beach time as an excuse to form stronger connections.
