One of the best ways to save money is to make things yourself—so why not DIY your Thanksgiving! DIY projects are great ways to not only give you some “me time” but can also be a great way to spend time with friends and family as you work together to create cute and cozy Thanksgiving decorations.
This DIY Thanksgiving project brings warmth to your home in more ways than one. The only things you need for this project are rubber bands, cinnamon sticks, a candle of your choice, and twine. This is also a Thanksgiving DIY that doesn’t take long at all.
All you have to do is take your rubber band and put it around the middle of your candle. Then add your cinnamon sticks between the rubber band and the candle so that the band is holding them in place. Then take the twine and tie it around the whole thing. Then you can cut the rubber band off if you want. That way the twine is the only thing holding the cinnamon sticks to the candle.

Here is another candle holder idea for you to try as well this Thanksgiving. All you need for this are mason jars, mod podge, a sponge brush, and leaves. The mason jars are something you can pick up at your local dollar store. Then you can use real or fake leaves—although, real leaves are free!
First, you need to make sure the outside of your jar is clean and free of oil and dirt. Then, with your brush add some mod podge. Next, put your leaf down, and cover the entire leaf and its surrounding edges on the glass with mod podge so that it sticks. Then, you just repeat with other leaves until you have as many leaves as you want and then let it dry.

This is a perfect DIY project to hang over your mantle at Thanksgiving this year. You can use whatever colors you want, but for Fall purposes, it’s best to use those “Fall colors.” Those include browns, reds, oranges, and yellows.
This Thanksgiving DIY project is pretty straight forward. First, you just take a normal sheet of blank paper and color the whole thing with watercolors, mixing whatever colors you want. In this DIY, they use a machine to cut out their leaf patterns. However, you could also freehand or trace a stencil then cut them out by hand. Then, you get a branch or stick from outside and tie the leaves to the branch with string.

This is a super cute Thanksgiving DIY you can put anywhere, both inside or out. All you need for this project is fall colors of matte paint, paintbrushes, burlap, twine, and mason jars.
First, take the mason jar and cover the outside and even inside if you would like with one color of your paint and wait for it to dry. Then, measure out a strip of burlap and paint a black letter (there will be four since there are four letters in Fall). Then tie a twine bow around the top then add the burlap around the middle. Repeat for the other three jars.
You can put whatever you want in the jars. You could even pick flowers from your garden, if you have one, and showcase them on your Thanksgiving dinner table!
This is a super cute and cozy DIY Thanksgiving project you can make in seconds. All you will need for this project it a roll of toilet paper, fabric, a short stick, and green ribbons.
First, you take your fabric square and place your toilet paper roll in the center. Then, unroll it a few times then reroll loosely so it has a rounder look to it. Then take each corner and stuff it all the way into the roll. Next, you will tie the ribbon around the stick, so it represents leaves, and stuff your stick into the roll with the corners of the fabric.

This is the perfect decoration for any household on Thanksgiving. All you need are two empty wine bottles, acrylic paint, raffia, and a white marker that can write over dried paint. You can get whatever two colors you want that say Fall to you in order to decorate your bottles, this particular picture shows they used orange and brown.
First, you take your wine bottle, taking a brush and some of the first color of paint, you will paint the entire outside of the bottle. Then, let it dry. Once it is dry, take your white marker and on the first bottle write “Give” and on the second one write “Thanks.” Then take your raffia and tie it around the neck into a bow!
This is a cute and rustic way to spice up your Thanksgiving dinner table. All you need for this craft is burlap, fake leaves, and a hot glue gun with glue.
There was not a tutorial that showed how they made this, but if you know how to fold napkins, you basically do that with your burlap and then tie a burlap bow. Then you hot glue the leaves and bow to the top layer of burlap. Then stick your utensils in when setting the table!
This rustic craft is a must this Fall. Not only show off your crafting skills, but also your perfect decor this Thanksgiving. All you need for this craft is an old book you will never read, hot glue, a stick for the stem, and maybe a ribbon or other accessories to put around the stem.
First, you should trace what shape you want your pumpkin to be on a blank sheet of paper that is folded in half. then cut around your trace so that you have your template. Then, take the front and back covers off of the book, tracing your template on one side. Then, cut your book along the traced lines.
Next, you will want to hot glue the first and last pages together, bringing the pages around so that they create a sphere. Then “fluff” the pages so that they are more evenly spaced. Then hot glue a stick to the top for the stem and add any of decoration to it that you want.

This is a fun idea that anyone at your Thanksgiving can participate in. You basically write on a slip of paper what you are thankful for and then put it in the jar. But, in order to do this, you need to make the jar first! All you need for this craft is a glass vase, a thick ribbon of your choice, and adhesive vinyl letters.
First, make sure that your vase is clean with no oil or dirt so that the letters stick to the vase. Then, apply your adhesive letters. Finally, tie a bow to the top and you are done! It’s as simple as that!
This sparkly decor is a quick and simple DIY you can accomplish this Thanksgiving. All you need for this is brown ribbon, fake leaves, Elmer’s glue, a brush, and glitter of your choice.
To make the leaves, first, you will need to take your brush and apply Elmer’s glue to the front of your leaf. Then, you will sprinkle the glitter onto the glue. Let it dry then shake or let all the excess glitter fall off the leaf. To hang them, punch a hole in the bottom of the leaf. Then, tie a piece of ribbon to the leaf, eventually tying them all to the ribbon that goes across your wall.
