You may find that as summer continues, you have bought a beach house or find that your beach house needs some sprucing up, Or maybe you want to impress a few guests. I’m here to tell you how to decorate the perfect beach house that is aesthetically pleasing and functional. Having a place at the beach can be fantastic as it’s ideal for summer and hosting people, but as we know, you may take the beach home with you some days. Pets, kids, towels, and even adults bring sand into your home. No matter how often you rinse your feet or shake out your towel, you will inevitably end with a massive pile of sand at the end of a perfect beach day. While you may want the most beautiful home in the world, it may not be the ideal home for the beach. I’m here to give you some tips and tricks and how to create the perfect beach house fit for any guest any summer!
In my opinion, if you have lots of carpet and drugs, this will make for a challenging summer. You will never be able to get all the sand out from your carpet, no matter how many times you vacuum. And this will drive you crazy! So I recommend limiting the number of rugs and carpets you have, especially on the first floor, so guests and friends may come into your house without washing off their feet. Have some cute runners if you want, but I’d keep them away from any doors. If you’re going to have a carpet or a runner, I recommend sticking to earthy tones and Blues. Limiting your rug and carpet selection in your beach house will help create a more functional home and make it feel beachier.
Nothing quite screams summer like beautiful hydrangeas in a vase. If you scatter gorgeous summary flowers around your home, you will feel like you are living in an Elin Hildebrand novel. My personal favorite is hydrangeas, but if you have a garden or even a farmer stand to pick out fresh flowers, this will give that extra touch to your home. I recommend keeping your vases simple to provide flexibility with your flower choice. I also think it’s important to enjoy fresh flowers while you can because in the middle of winter you’re going to wish you appreciated the things that summer has to offer you.
I believe every perfect beach house should be decorated with summer sentiments. Have gorgeous pictures or paintings of the beach or summer locations, vendors, tourist attractions, and more. Every perfect beach house needs to have the ideal summer painting. You want to get that coastal vibe when you walk into your beach house. To create this hype, it is imperative to have art that supports this. And when you’re picking out your art, make sure to get the perfect frame to go with it. I recommend using a light wood frame or keeping it simple with a solid color. Please avoid dark colors such as browns, blacks, or darker stained wood because that will make it harder to achieve that coastal feeling.
I believe that if you have Wicker accessories in your beach house, it will allow it to feel even more coastal and homey. If you want to create that perfect beach house feeling, I think having Wicker tables or Wicker lampshades or Wicker no chairs or side tables will make it feel beachier. It gives it that relaxed homie gets the clean vibe essential to creating the perfect beach jobs. It allows your furniture to feel airier and makes your home feel less cluttered, and it’s also a lighter color to help brighten up your house. So, if you want to create the perfect beach house, I recommend decorating with Wicker accents.
When decorating your beach house, yes, the inside of your home is crucial, but arguably the outside of your home may be even more critical. It would help if you capitalized on being outside and your outdoor environment and space. On your back deck porch or patio, make it feel as comfortable as possible. During the warm summer months, I want to take advantage of being outside and soaking up all the sun and heat. So you must ensure that you have the perfect outdoor ambiance to complete your beach house. I recommend having and lovely table and chair set up so that you can eat meals outside or have happy hours out and if you have space, have lounge chairs and outdoor sofas to make it almost feel like you have a living room out. This is great for entertaining and hosting and even better for you because you can always enjoy it. Find some great outdoor furniture by Sam simple cushions, and it will look like you have a resort in your backyard. Always good to have an umbrella for guests that prefer the shade. Make sure to have plenty of candles because, as we all know, the mosquitoes will come out on summer nights, and having some citronella candles will help keep the bugs away. You will find that you will enjoy this space so much. And it’s so crucial. You will find that after the beach, some days will come up, and you want to have a drink outside, enjoy a cheese board that invites some guests or neighbors over, and use this space all the time. Totally worth investing in a good grill, outdoor furniture, and cushions so you can fully maximize your outdoor space. You also love entertaining outdoors because it helps the cleanup situation for those nights where you have more enormous barbecues and bigger parties. You won’t have to worry about guests spilling on your hardwood floors and countertops or ruining your favorite sofa. All your furniture and cushions are made to last in the outdoor weather. You must also have the perfect outdoor experience to decorate the ideal features.
