Winter is right around the corner, which means that smoothie season is coming to an end. But is it really? You can make smoothies for every season and every holiday, so here are some of my favorite holiday smoothies! I hope you enjoy them.
This smoothie isn’t so much one of the holiday smoothies as it is a winter based smoothie. It tastes really good, and it has a lot of vitamin c in it to make your immune system stronger on those cold winter days. I hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients:
1 cup of frozen mango chunks
Juice of one lemon
1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper
3/4 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice
2 teaspoons of freshly grated ginger
1 small red beat, chopped
1 cup of frozen raspberries
1 blood orange or grapefruit, peeled and segmented
1/2 cup of pomegranate juice
Honey to taste, optional
Steps:
1. In a blender, combine the mango, lemon juice, turmeric, cayenne, ginger and orange juice. Blend until completely smooth, adding more honey if needed to sweeten. Pour it into a tall glass and rinse out the blender.
2. Combine the beets, orange, raspberries and pomegranate juice. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more pomegranate juice if needed to reach your desired consistency. Pour over the mango mixture and stir gently to swirl. Top with pomegranate seeds if desired, and enjoy!
This is another winter smoothie, but don’t worry. We’re getting to the holiday smoothies. This makes you feel warm when it starts getting cold, so this is perfect for when it starts snowing in January and February. I hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients:
1/2 of a ripe banana (peeled, sliced, and frozen)
1 small carrot, peeled and chopped
1/4 cup of sliced zucchini, or frozen cauliflower
1 scoop of plain or vanilla protein powder
3/4 or 1 cup of dairy free milk
1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
1 tablespoon of peeled, minced fresh garlic
1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric
1/8 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 pinch of black pepper
1 handful of spinach or kale
Steps:
1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender, starting with the smaller amount of milk, and blend on high until creamy and smooth, adding more dairy free milk as needed.
2. Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more spices for warmth, ginger for spice or flavor, and bananas or protein powder for sweetness.
3. Serve and enjoy immediately. Garnish with additional hemp seeds or ground turmeric, if desired. Store the leftovers covered in the refrigerator if necessary, though it tastes best when enjoyed immediately. Or you can freeze it in ice cube trays and add them to future smoothies.
This smoothie tastes like a pina colada, but without the alcohol. So, I guess it’s not holiday smoothies time yet, but this is still a really good smoothie. You will love it when you try it, I promise. I hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of raw cashews, refrigerated and soaked for at least four hours
1 cup of coconut water
1 banana
1 cup of pineapple chunks
1 cup of ice
1 tablespoon of coconut meat butter

1. Drain and rinse the cashews. Puree cashews and coconut water in a blender until completely smooth, about one minute. Add banana, pineapple, ice and coconut meat butter, and puree until smooth, 30-45 seconds. Enjoy the smoothie immediately.
This is also more of a winter smoothie than holiday smoothies, but it was too good of a smoothie to not include in here. Vanilla is also a good flavor that you could use for any holiday. I really hope you’ll enjoy this smoothie, too.
Ingredients:
1 small ripe banana, peeled and broken in half
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 cup of fresh baby spinach
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1/2 cup of ice
Steps:
1. Combine all of the ingredients in the blender. Puree and pulse on high to combine the ingredients for 10-15 seconds until all the ingredients are roughly chopped.
2. Puree continuously on high until completely smooth and the spinach is completely pureed, 40-45 seconds. Serve and enjoy immediately.
This is part of the holiday smoothies list, but probably not the holiday you were thinking of. It’s a Halloween smoothie, my favorite holiday! It’s a green apple smoothie, which is the best apple to dip in caramel. I hope you enjoy this one!
Ingredients:
1 green apple, cored and chopped
2 handfuls of kale leaves, washed
1 to 2 teaspoons of grated ginger root, preferably using a rasp-style grater
1 tablespoon of honey, maple syrup or agave
1/2 cup of coconut milk
1/2 cup of almond milk
Steps:
1. Combine apple, kale, ginger, honey, coconut milk, and almond milk in a blender and puree until smooth, about 45 seconds to a minute.
2. Serve and enjoy immediately.
This is another one on the holiday smoothies list. It’s a Thanksgiving smoothie! Cranberry is a big part of Thanksgiving, so this is a really good smoothie to make in November. I really hope this smoothie is one that you’ll enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups of fresh cranberries
1 cup of vanilla yogurt
1 seedless clementine, peeled
1 tablespoon of chopped ginger
Steps:
1. Put the cranberries in the blender first, followed by the yogurt, clementine and ginger. Blend until smooth, about a minute.
2. Serve and enjoy immediately.
I’m not sure if this counts in the holiday smoothies list or not, but we eat the most chocolate in December, so I put it in this article. It tastes like a chocolate milkshake, so it’s really good. I hope you like it!
Ingredients:

1 scoop of unsweetened whey protein powder
1 cup of ice
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup
Steps:
1. Puree the banana, protein powder, ice, milk, cocoa, and sweetener in a blender until smooth, about 1 minute. Pour into a tall glass.
2. Serve immediately and enjoy!
I always associate mint chocolate chip with Christmas, but it doesn’t have to be. This smoothie would be good any time of the year, not just as holiday smoothies. I think this is a smoothie you will definitely like, so please enjoy it!

1/2 cup of kale, tightly packed
1/2 cup of ice
1 tablespoon of mint chocolate chips
Steps:
1. Place all of the ingredients, except for the chocolate chips, into the blender and hit the smoothie function. When there is 15 seconds left, pause the blender and add the chocolate chips.
2. Blend for the last 15 seconds and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Gingerbread is definitely a Christmas thing, so this is added to the holiday smoothies list for sure. You can also enjoy this whenever you want, not just in December. I really think you’ll enjoy this, but please have fun with this recipe!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of ice
1/2 of a frozen banana

2 teaspoons of molasses
Crystallized ginger for garnish, optional

1. Combine all the ingredients, except for the crystallized ginger, in the blender. Blend on high speed until smooth, about one minute.
2. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Kumquats are citrus fruits that look very similar to orange olives. Kumquats combined with mangoes makes a really good smoothie flavor. These might not be holiday smoothies, but the flavor reminds me of the holiday season. I hope you enjoy this!

6 ounces of plain vanilla yogurt
3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk
5-6 ice cubes
1 tablespoon of honey
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
Steps:
1. Cut the kumquats in half and remove any seeds.
2. Add all of the ingredients to the blender and puree until smooth, about one minute.
3. Garnish with another sprinkling of cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
This smoothie definitely goes on the holiday smoothies list because the color reminds me of the little berries on Christmas holly. The flavor also tastes like half of the desserts my mom makes for the holidays. I think you’ll like this smoothie.

1 cup of mixed berries, frozen or fresh
1 1/2 cups of unsweetened almond milk, or water
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon of black pepper
2 tablespoons of chia seeds
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Steps:
1. Place all of the ingredients in the blender, and puree until smooth, about 1 minute.
2. Drink as is, or you can pour it over ice. Serve immediately and enjoy!
