Isn’t it strange that one of the most entertaining platforms available to us right now is podcasts? Doesn’t that sound like we’ve gone back in time? It feels like we’ve gone back to a time when people would listen to talk radio shows when they wanted to laugh. However, last year, when I had a three-hour commute, I found myself listening to podcasts every single morning. I finally understood why podcasts were so freaking popular in 2019. They’re freaking hilarious. Podcasts are always by your side waiting to be heard, on your way to work, while you’re at work or the end of a long night out. If you’re looking for a new podcast to tune into, that’ll also make your funny bone tingle, then lend your ear to these hilarious podcasts this year!
The Office Ladies is merely a fun podcast where two best friends catch up. Oh wait, they aren’t just two best friends, they’re the stars of The Office, Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer. The two former Dunder Mifflin employees sit and review an episode of The Office each week. These two adorable hosts reminisce about their time filming the most streamed show on Netflix while also chatting about their real lives. This podcast may seem like it’s exclusive to fans of The Office, but I promise it’s so much more than that. Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey mostly spend the podcast sassing each other and giggling over memories. If you have a best friend, who also knows how to sass you, you’ll appreciate this podcast. Tune in to The Office Ladies to get the inside scoop on their relationship and the show. They’ll be glad you came (that’s what she said.)
Confession time, Topher Grace is my celebrity crush, so I might be a little bias, but also it really is so freaking funny. Each week you can join host Topher Grace and a celebrity guest on a minor adventure. He has done everything from speaking Dothraki to learning how to properly beat box. Topher Grace makes the perfect host for this show because you truly believe that he is always excited and ready to try new things. His guests are a mash-up of That 70’s show cast mates and celebrities he hasn’t even met yet. This podcast is a great way to escape the boring day you might be having and go on a bit of an escapade. If this podcast still doesn’t sound funny to you, take a look at his podcast cover below, I think you might be persuaded to check it out.
Pete Holmes is a passionate, creative, and wonderful weirdo who knows how to make situations uncomfortable. Which is why his podcast is so amusing. Pete Holmes brings on a variety of guests to interview about their upcoming projects and their personal life. Most of these guests are comedians, so laughter is guaranteed. However, Pete also brings up some very serious topics. In the podcast, he discusses meaningful themes such as death and religion. Throughout this podcast, Pete Holmes is able to make light of conversation topics that others are too uncomfortable to talk about. This podcast is fun, but it’ll also leave you feeling fulfilled and maybe force you to ask yourself some uncomfortable questions.
Anna Faris is a comedy genius, and I feel like not enough people know that. She may play the girl next door on screen, but off-screen, she is throwing curse words like shes at the parade of fucks. Beyond her language choices, Anna Faris is also just a funny human who is great at doing bits and impressions of douchy guys. Unqualified is actually a podcast where lucky listeners can call in to get unqualified dating advice from Anna Faris herself. I won’t lie, she has also given out some very helpful advice over the years. However, I still really only listen to hear the funny bits she comes up with. Check out Anna Faris Is Unqualified if you want to laugh along with the star, or if you want some guidance on how to mend your broken heart.
It’s time to invite Youtube star, Grace Helbig, into your eardrums because she has some pretty great comedy coming your way. The Not Too Deep show is a podcast that doesn’t ask the hard questions. Host, Grace Helbig, focuses on getting to know her audience on a service level, instead of getting in deep with them about emotional things from their childhood, because no one wants to hear about that shit. Listen to the Not Too Deep podcast if you want to hear guests answer stories about their worst shitting stories or what they put on their burgers. There will be no discussing politics, religion or wells because she doesn’t go deep.
Will Ferrell could spit on a pair of shoes, and call them the Ron Burgendy spit shoes, and I would buy them. If you’re a fan of Will Ferrell and this hilarious character he plays on screen, then you will love this podcast. The Ron Burgundy Podcast isn’t afraid to ask the hard questions. Ron Burgundy talks about things he has no idea about, in order to get to the truth of it all, and that’s just good journalism.
