Highlighters You Need In Your Life
Besides any product for your brows, highlighter is my favorite makeup item. It makes you glow, accentuates the high points of your face, is easy to apply and there are many options available to go with whatever look you are going for. I could honestly go out with only brows, lips and highlighter on and feel confident and sexy all day. Here are highlighters I think you need in your life.
e.l.f. Shimmer Highlighting Powder
If you are balling on a budget, this highlighter is your best friend. The coverage is great, it will lasy for hours if you forget to put on primer and setting spray (oops, that is me at least once a week) and comes in three different tones! Starlight glow is cooler if you are going for that look, sunset glow is warmer and bronzed glow (which is only available online) is stronger than sunset glow but also warm. For $6, this is a steal. If you use it daily, it should last you months. You can also get it at any store that sells e.l.f. products which is nice if you accidentally break yours or need highlighter in case of emergency! Definitely a favorite of mine.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit
At $40, this is an investment highlighter kit. You get six different shades, which I love, but there is only one warmer tone, but I think you should expect that when the kit is called “Moonchild” so no complaints from me! I personally look better with warmer highlighters, but love to spice things up with cooler ones occasionally which is why I got this kit. They’re great for nights out and also when I just want to change my look for the day. You can see all the shades below. My personal favorite is purple horseshoe because of the amazing pigmentation and how different it is from my usual highlighters. I love wearing it on days I feel like standing out and also for going out with my friends. It looks amazing when it catches the lights! If you’re a fan of cooler highlighters, get this. If you want to try something new, get this.

BECCA Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter
This is another investment in my opinion, at $38 this is no joke. It comes in 11 different shades, but there isn’t a kit that has multiple of them. The one pictured below is the rose quartz shade, which I have. Things I love about this highlighter is how beautifully it blends out. It goes on perfectly, so no clumps or build-up and lasts all day. If you want to splurge a bit, definitely try this out! You can also go into an Ulta store to find which shade you like best before ordering online or buying one at the store.

J. Cat Beauty You Glow Girl baked Highlighter
It comes in nine different shades, is another highlighter for those balling on a budget at a comfortable $9 and for that price is a good product. The different shades are white goddess which is a cooler highlighter, twilight which is warmer, pink goddess which is also warm but has pink tones, crystal sand which is a pearly pink, moon light which is a warmer but not as dark brown, bella rose which is a purple pink shade, moon and back which is a rose gold tone, mermaid skin which is a bright green and unicorn fav which is a bright pink. I personally own pink goddess and twilight and love them. I love the different options available and that it’s so cheap! If you can, I suggest checking these out.

Too Faced Diamond Light Highlighter
This gorgeously packaged and beautiful highlighter is $36, which is an investment to me especially because it’s only one shade. It is gorgeous though and if you want a statement making highlighter, this is one you should check out. The one I featured is a fancy pink, which is a soft glittery pink, but there’s not too much glitter in the highlighter which I love. Glitter is great, but honestly most of the time I either want none or a subtle amount of it. It comes in three different shades. Canary, which is a bronze shimmery and warm highlighter, diamond fire, which is a pearly opaque highlighter and cooler and as I mentioned earlier fancy pink. I am absolutely in love with the packaging and it also feels like it is stable and well made. I always fear for my make-up when I drop it, but if I drop this I have more confidence in my product being fine. Definitely check this out if you have the money!

Ofra Cosmetics NikkieTutorials Highlighting Trio
This is a high to mid range priced at $29 highlighter trio, but you’re getting three different shade so you can debate with yourself on whether or not it is worth it. Some things I love about this is that it offers three different tones – a cool one, a mix of warm and cool and a warm one. You get everything in one set which is convenient and they are gorgeous. The packaging feels a little cheap, which is a shame because it costs almost $30 so I was expecting more, but the colors and how long they stay on are great in my opinion. Definitely recommend checking this out if you can!
