Here’s Where To Buy Cheap Textbooks Online

College has many frustrating elements. The work is harder, the classes are more spread out and the meal plans can be difficult to get used to. But one of the more frustrating things students have to deal with is the cost of everything. And after tuition, the more costly thing is the textbooks. Luckily, plenty of websites have popped up in order to solve this problem. No really, it’s hard to believe but this is not click bait nor spam; these websites exist and they are incredibly helpful for your academic life. If you’ve been looking for where to buy cheap textbooks online, then take a gander at these five.

1. Chegg.com

Chegg is probably the number one resource used by college students today to get textbooks cheap. They not only offer that though. They also have a study help section which offers solutions to problems and inexpensive online tutoring sessions. What a wonderful deal! But perhaps the best way to explain this site is to show you the numbers. I found a biology textbook on my school’s bookstore website that could be purchased for $242. On Chegg, it was available for only $37.99. Now that’s what I call a bargain! If you want to save big, then check out Chegg today!

2. Bigwords.com

Bigwords is less of a textbook buying website and more of a price comparing website. Bigwords allows you to enter in the name of any textbook and it will give you its total cost (including shipping and handling estimates) from up to fourteen different websites as well as any buyback offers these sites have. Using this site, I managed to find a copy of that aforementioned biology textbook for $23.65. Talk about a steal! If you’re lacking financially and thus require the cheapest of the cheapest of the cheap, then this website will be an absolute godsend next semester for where to buy cheap textbooks online.

3. Textbooks.com

In essence, this website sells exactly what its url suggests it does. However, textbook.com’s marketplace functions a bit more like Amazon’s, showing and comparing the prices of individual vendors, their rating on a five-star scale as well as the product’s condition. When I did my research, I couldn’t find that biology textbook for as cheap of a price as on other websites. However, if you want to buy from individual sellers as opposed to faceless companies, then this might be for you.

4. Valorebooks.com

Valorebooks doesn’t just sell textbooks at a discounted rate compared to their original list price, they also offer textbook buybacks and the rates are pretty good. That biology textbook can be bought for $55 and can be sold for $13.75. Doing that math, that means that this book in particular can be returned for 25% of its original price. This is going to be useful for the pricier stuff that you don’t want to keep for yourself. Check it out sometime of where to buy cheap textbooks online!

5. BetterWorldBooks.com

Better World Books offers books of all types from textbooks to academic case studies to comics at a reduced price. On top of that selection are scores of audio books, music CD’s and DVDs, many of which ship free. Looking up the aforementioned biology textbook will yield reviews and prices from several different sellers. This site is a boon for your academic career no matter what major you are. And when you’re done with that, you can use for pleasure purposes as well. It’s a win for all sorts of occasions so check it out!
