Here’s How You Should Spend NYE This Year Based On Your Zodiac Sign

The year is coming to a close, so it’s almost time to start figuring out your New Year’s Eve plans. To make this a little easier, this list provides a recommendation of how to celebrate based on your zodiac sign. There are tons of different things you can do on this holiday, so you don’t need to feel pressured to go out and do something you don’t necessarily enjoy. If the recommendation for your sign isn’t suited to you, then go ahead and check your rising sign, too!

Aries: Go to a fireworks show

There’s nothing quite like a midnight fireworks show to kick off the new year. As a dynamic and fun-loving Aries, this will be the perfect way to ring in 2020 — with a bang. Because the Aries zodiac sign is full of energy and enthusiasm, watching a fireworks show will be a great way to revel in all that unkempt energy and vibrancy.

Taurus: Have a movie night with friends

Even though a lot of people find it fun to go out for New Year’s Eve, it can also be super enjoyable to have a relaxing evening with your friends, especially if you’re a Taurus that appreciates a calm and serene night. If you want to skip on the loud and busy festivities this year, consider inviting some friends over to your place and having a movie marathon until midnight.

Gemini: Party!

Geminis are quite recognizable for being versatile, communicative, and restless, so the best way for this zodiac sign to celebrate the new year is to go out and celebrate. Depending on your age, the parties you go to might be at a house, a fraternity, a nightclub, or something a little more sophisticated. Regardless, Geminis know how to have fun in any setting — especially when there’s music and alcohol.

Cancer: Spend time with your family

One of the most underrated ways to spend New Year’s Eve is to spend time with family. People tend to get caught up in the loud and chaotic nightlife of this holiday, but Cancers might find it more worthwhile to spend quality time at home. It’s never a bad idea to spend the holidays with your parents, and at the very least, you probably won’t have to worry about waking up with a hangover.

Leo: Go to a concert

The Leo zodiac sign is bold, creative, and vivacious. Because of this, one of the best ways for Leos to celebrate the new year is to attend a concert. This might not be a possibility for everyone, but if there happen to be any New Year’s Eve concerts in your area, you won’t want to pass it up. Attending a concert for this holiday is an alternative way to celebrate the new year, and it’ll definitely create a lot of amazing memories.

Virgo: Try out an escape room

Virgos are often stereotyped as being logical, analytical, and cerebral, but this sign still knows how to have fun. One of the best ways for Virgos to spend New Year’s Eve is to go to an escape room. That way, problem-solving skills can be used in a fun and interesting atmosphere. It’s an offbeat way to spend the holiday, but it has the potential to become a tradition.

Libra: Go see a play

As a zodiac sign that’s known for being romantic and idealistic, it’s definitely worthwhile for Libras to consider seeing a play on New Year’s Eve. Depending on the content of the play, it might leave you feeling inspired, harmonious, or even melancholic. Regardless, stories allow us to get in touch with our emotions and view the world a little differently, which will be ideal for the start of the new year.

Scorpio: Head to your favorite bars

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with bar hopping — especially on New Year’s Eve. Scorpios are recognizable for being magnetic and energetic, so it’s unlikely that they’ll be easily contained in just one setting. Because New Year’s Eve can be such an exciting night, Scorpios might benefit off this by visiting a variety of different settings and being surrounded by new people all night long.

Sagittarius: Have some alone time

Although some people might prefer to spend New Year’s Eve with loved ones, it’s also a good idea to consider spending the night by yourself. Because the Sagittarius sign is optimistic, curious, and intuitive, spending the night alone could provide all sorts of wonderful insights about the new year. The night could be spent reflecting on the concluding year, making resolutions for the new year, engaging in a self-care routine, or even just going to bed early. It’s all about preference.

Capricorn: Plan a game night with friends

Capricorns are known for being simultaneously ambitious and practical, and they often have a steady disposition. If you aren’t a fan of noisy crowds and rooms full of strangers but still want to have an enjoyable night, it could be fun to invite some friends over for a game night. Depending on what you and your friends like, you might choose to play video games, board games, drinking games, or whatever else you can come up with. It’s a fun and laid-back way to end the year, made even better when you’re surrounded by friends.

Aquarius: Go ice-skating

As one of the most imaginative and whimsical zodiac signs, an Aquarius will probably be drawn to the idea of late-night ice-skating. There’s something magical about ice-skating at night, especially when you’re at an outdoor rink. Whether you choose to go solo, invite friends, or bring a romantic partner, ice-skating is an enjoyable and seasonal activity that’ll leave you feeling rejuvenated for the new year.

Pisces: Grab dinner with friends

Pisces tend to be kind and sensitive people who do well in interpersonal settings. If you aren’t interested in spending the holiday at a party or in a high-energy setting, getting dinner with your closest friends should be a suitable option. That way, you can still spend time with the people you love, indulge in a nice meal, and have a relatively relaxing evening!

We hope this list helped you narrow down your New Year’s Eve plans. Leave a comment below and let us know your favorite way to celebrate!
