Here Are The Most Instagrammable Spots In Nashville

Sure, you might be visiting Nashville just to have a great time with your friends. But let’s be real… you’re hoping to get some enviable shots for your Instagram too. Your girls trip will thank you for finding this list of social media-worthy gold that hasn’t been already done a million times. Here are some of the most Instagrammable spots in Nashville.

Restaurants and Rooftops

Nash’s claim to fame might be country music, but its also well-known for an abundance of eateries that are next to none. Whether its homegrown southern cooking or a trendy cocktail bar you’re looking for, there’s definitely a spot for you in this city. These are a few of the spots where you can expect an Instagram pic as satisfying as the fare.

1. Bobby Hotel

This boutique hotel is located in Printer’s Alley, a historic downtown neighborhood. The creatively designed space is breathtaking within steps of entering the lobby. There are plenty of places inside the hotel worth photographing, but I recommend heading up to the rooftop, which has an iconic view of the city skyline. There are multiple bars, a converted school bus, and cabanas that are turned into igloos in the winter.

2. Bobby’s Garage

Just steps from the hotel down Printer’s Alley, a small underground bar called Bobby’s Garage gives the perfect L.A. grunge backdrop for a photo op. The bar is very dimly lit with vintage neon signs and graffiti artwork donned on the walls. The atmosphere is less posh and more gritty than that of the hotel, lending a totally different vibe to your pictures.

3. Headquarters Beercade

HQ is the perfect spot for an action shot while you’re tearing it up on the arcade game floor. Bonus points if you’re a Michigan fan — the business supports Michigan alumni and plays all the games on the big screen with sound. There are SO many cool spots within this bar but my favorite part? The bathroom. It sounds weird, I know, but just trust me.

4. Kung Fu Saloon

Kung Fu is another bar-arcade hybrid, but for this one, I want you to stay outside. In the Midtown area, this bar is like an adult playground, with giant games and see-saws scattered amongst picnic tables on the large patio area that is adorned with fake grass. Unleash your inner child as you sip your vodka cranberry.

5. Flipside

Time to talk about everyone’s favorite meal of the day– brunch. Flipside has a really interesting menu that focuses on thinly-pounded breaded chicken served the way you like it. It’s absolutely delectable; be sure to start with the tater tot nachos. You’ll thank me later. The most recognizable thing about Flipside is the “Big Fix,” a bloody mary which could really serve as a meal in itself.  Jaws will drop as the giant drink makes its way to your table.

Murals

You could dedicate an entire day to wandering the Nashville streets to find inspiring artwork splashed across buildings and alleyways. Lucky for you, I’ve narrowed down a few that really stand out and won’t have a line to wait in for a quick pic, unlike some of the more notorious murals in town.

1. Hot Air Balloon

I stumbled across this one as I was aimlessly driving around. It is located in the hipster haven of East Nashville, at the intersection of Gallatin and West Eastland Avenue, on the side of The Cleo apartment building. The adventurous artwork was painted by Kelsey Montague, the same artist who blessed us with the endlessly photographed angel wings in the Gulch. She’s responsible for a lot of really amazing stuff, so be sure to check out her Instagram to see what she’s adding to her collection.

2. Stay Tuned

While you’re still in East Nash, head to 625 Main Street and look for the color block wall with “Nashville” script. This mural is versatile for a photo shoot because depending on your angle, you can switch up the color for your background. So fun!

3. Love Y’all Wall

Did you really visit the south if you don’t start saying “y’all?” This wall is great to snapshot with your girlfriends to represent the memories you made in Nashville because… y’all love each other, right? Find it at 2020 Lindell Avenue, just south of Downtown.

4. Angel vs. Devil Wings

So we’ve already talked about the unmistakable angel wings in the Gulch… but what if you’re feeling a little bit on the devilish side? Uncommon James is Kristin Cavallari’s boutique in Nashville, and the building has a posable portrait of wings, one light and one dark. There’s also a devil tail and a halo so you can be either a sinner or a saint… totally up to you.

5. Looking Pretty, Music City

The bad news is that there used to be a super bright, tye dye mural here that was vibrant and eye-catching, but it was painted over. The good news is that Madewell is responsible for the cover-up, and their contribution is equally fun and Insta-worthy. Catch this sunny wall in the 12 South neighborhood, at 2709 12th Ave S.

Miscellaneous

Nashville is full of places to explore and discover. Outside of the tourist hubs, there lies so much character and history that should earn a place on your Instagram feed. Make sure you save time to visit these intriguing spots.

This gorgeous monument is a replica of the Parthenon in Athens and is a structural masterpiece. Inside is an art museum featuring American artists, with space for rotating exhibitions. The architectural classic is the center focus of the lush Centennial Park. The park is a great place for some fresh air, whether you do a couple laps on the walking path or lay in the lawn with a hot dog from a nearby cart.

The sunsets at this vineyard are almost too beautiful to believe. Every aspect oozes with charm and is the perfect place to pop a couple bottles with your babes or your boo. Nestled among the hills just outside the city walls, an afternoon at Arrington is an afternoon well spent.

3. Amelia’s Flower Truck

Technically, Amelia’s Flower Truck is 3 Instagrammable Nashville destinations. The business consists of 3 vintage Volkswagen trucks that park in different neighborhoods daily to sell the prettiest, freshest flowers. When you’re ready for your close up, check out their schedule to see where they’re parked for the day. If you’re really serious about your visual content, the trucks are actually available for rent for photo shoots.

The Pedestrian Bridge is the connector between East Nashville and Downtown. Right next to the Nissan Stadium, the bridge is the perfect central spot for aesthetically pleasing landscapes and architectural angles.
