10 Healthy Snacks Perfect For Any College Student

With a busy schedule, it can be hard to maintain a healthy diet, especially in college. Here are quick, easy, and healthy snacks perfect for class or work!

College students are always in a hurry to get from class to class. Whether you are about to take an exam or give a speech in front of a class, it is always essential to have healthy snacks available to grab and go! The worst fear of a college student  is having your whole class hear your stomach rumbling during an exam. These are 10 healthy snacks perfect for any busy college student!

1. Apple Slices with Peanut Butter

Everyone loves some fruit and peanut butter. It is a delicious, fast, and healthy snack that will help any college student last through a class by providing a source of protein. Just cut up some slices, throw them in a bag, then add some peanut butter and you’re out the door!

2. Protein or Cereal Bars

Keep a stash of protein and cereal bars to grab when you’re hungry and in a rush. They come in so many different flavors and provide all the essential nutrients to keep you moving throughout the days full of classes. With the large variety of brands that almost all stores provide, it’ll be easy to find your favorite and also requires no effort!

3. Non-Fat Yogurt with Granola

Add some granola to any flavor yogurt you enjoy and it’ll be a great on the go snack. It’s fast and yummy! Not to mention, there are so many different kinds to choose from, you’ll never get sick of it! Also, try adding some fruit to provide a crunchy and sweet snack.

4. Turkey and Cheese Roll Ups

A classic favorite of mine are lunch meat rolls. All you do is roll up some turkey with cheese and your choice of condiment. For example, I love dipping turkey and cheese in hummus.  It’s simple and is sure to make you feel full afterwards. You can try it with any kind of lunch meat you love!

5. Hummus and Pretzels

Another great grab and go snack are pretzels with your choice of hummus flavors! It provides something nice and salty to crunch on while also enjoying the smooth, yummy taste of hummus. It is the perfect alternative to the not so healthy bag of chips. You have to try it!

6. English Muffin with Peanut Butter

If none of the previous snacks suite your taste buds, then you have to try the English muffin with peanut butter! It is a delicious combination that you can wrap up and be out the door within 5 minutes. Grocery stores have a variety flavor of muffins to choose from. To make it an even more healthy and fulfilling snack, add some strawberries or banana on top!

7. Fruit Smoothie

One of my favorite grab and go healthy snacks are fruit smoothies. You can turn your favorite fruits into the best drinks to carry around to class! Just add some frozen fruit with some yogurt and you can make any sweet combination you want. It will keep you full till your next meal and provide you with the fruit you need for the day!

8. Almonds and Cheese

A yummy grab and go snack that you can find prepackaged in stores are almonds and cheese. It’s a delicious, crunchy, and salty snack that will fulfill your appetite. It’s quick and easy to eat during class or between classes.

9. Fruit Salad

Easiest grab and go snack that I always enjoy between classes is fruit salad. Spend some time in the beginning of the week to make a salad filled with your favorite fruits. That way when you’re in a rush, all you have to do is scoop some of the fruit salad into a container and be on your way to class!

10. Rice Cakes and Almond Butter

Light and salty rice cakes combined with the thick, smooth almond butter provide a great, nutritious snack to grab and go. It is easy to make and not even a mess! Try this light and salty snack on your way out the door.
