20 Healthy Game Day Food Ideas

Game Day is often associated it with cheesy nachos, greasy finger foods, and beer galore. In the case that all these things don’t quite get you going, there are alternatives! After scouring the internet, here is your list of 20 healthy game day food ideas.

1. Sweet Potato Sliders

Let me start off by saying that Lexi’s Clean Kitchen is my new go-to for healthier alternatives. Many of the options on here are credited to her and for good reason! We all enjoy sweet potato fries when given the choice so having it as a slider seems like the logical next step. Skip out on those greasy little patties and try out these sweet potato sliders for your healthy game day meal.

2. Spinach Dip Stuffed Mushrooms

Is there anything better than food stuffed inside other food? You can enjoy these spinach dip stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer or you can just fill up on these throughout the entire first half of the game!

3. Oven Baked Zucchini Fries

Lately, zucchini fries in general have been my go-to. I feel better for having consumed some form of vegetable throughout the day and that extra kick of flavor is a must. When it came to game day foods, I had never thought of zucchini fries, but I have been persuaded. Consider pairing these oven baked zucchini fries with a roasted garlic dipping sauce and you may kick those french fries for good!

4. Healthy Spinach Artichoke Dip

In case you don’t want to go the stuffed mushroom route, you can just indulge in the healthy spinach artichoke dip! Utilize cashew cream or leave off cheese for a completely dairy-free option. There are few things better than dip while the game is on and now you can feel better about it too.

5. Chicken Bacon Ranch Hummus Dip

Another combination of two things that crowds indulge in, this chicken bacon ranch hummus dip can be paired with gluten free crackers as an alternative to typical chips & dip. Ditch the potato chips and store-bought dip for this one instead!

6. Pecan Popcorn Chicken

As an avid fan of pecan pie and popcorn chicken, my fingers are crossed for this to be a staple of healthy game day foods. With a cajun garlic dipping sauce, these pecan popcorn chicken bites will make you forget about all those past nuggets.

You might spend the whole game avoiding junk food but sometimes things seem to crumble when it comes to dessert. The good news is that these paleo lemon bars will prevent that fall! It may not be summer anymore, but these bars are perfect for a healthy game day food alternative.

10. Gluten-Free Edible Cookie Dough Dip

If you are like me and have that instinct within you to eat cookie dough, this is automatically the treat for you. You can transform your healthy game day food table into an experience that your guests will never forget with this cookie dough dip.

Shrimp cocktail can get pretty dense so having the option of light shrimp cocktail bites will fit well into your game day menu. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing but this appetizer will leave your guests wanting more!

I may have fell into a little shrimp rabbit hole but for good reason!
