Halloween is my favorite holiday ever. Everything about it is so much fun: the costumes, the candy, the parties. It’s never too early to celebrate Halloween, either, or I think so at least. These Halloween treats are the best, and you’ll love them.
Chocolate bark is so easy to make, and it’s everyone’s favorite. Everyone at your party is going to love this. It’s one of my family’s favorite Halloween treats, so we make it all the time. I hope you enjoy this dessert as much as we do!
Ingredients:
Steps:
1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
2. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate using the microwave. Place the chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, and melt in 20-second increments. Stop and stir after each increment until completely melted and smooth.
3. Melt the white chocolate using the same method as the semi-sweet chocolate.
4. Pour the melted semi-sweet chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread out into a large rectangle, anywhere around 8×12 inches is good. Drizzle the white chocolate mixture on top. Use a knife or a toothpick to swirl the layers together. Decorate the top of the bark with the candy you chose.
5. Allow the bark to set completely uncovered at room temperature, or in the refrigerator, for about 45 minutes. Once hardened, break into pieces of any size you want.
6. Store bark in an airtight container at room temperature in a cool, dry place for up to a week, or in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Bats are really cool animals, and they’re an important and iconic part of Halloween. Your parties just wouldn’t be complete without these Halloween treats, so I hope you enjoy these cute bat treats as much as I do!
Ingredients:
Steps:
1. Take apart the Oreo Thins and cut the cookie in half and unwrap the peanut butter cups.
2. Take a baggie and add a small amount of frosting to it. Cut the tip off the end and squeeze a small dab of frosting on the underside of the cut cookie near one tip and attach it to the center of the peanut butter cup. Do the same for the other half of the cookie.
3. Attach the candy googly eyes on top of the cookie wings in the center of the peanut butter cup with a dab of frosting. Repeat these three steps until all of the bats are made.
Spiders are another important part of Halloween, and spiders aren’t complete without the spider web. These edible Halloween treats are so much fun to make, and pretzels make really good snacks for any time of the year.
Ingredients:
Steps:
1. Arrange pretzel sticks in a circle, 9 for a large spider web and 4 broken in half for a mini spider web, on a wax or parchment paper-lined half baking sheet. Check to make sure it fits in the fridge first.
2. Add half the chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl, then microwave on full power in 30-second increments. Stir between increments until it’s fully melted. Transfer the chocolate to a piping bag or a small ziplock bag and snip off the corner. Fill the center of the pretzels circles with chocolate, then move in circles to make the spider web. Gently place a spooky spider in the center of the large webs, and a fruity bear in the center of the smaller webs. Melt the rest of the chocolate to make more spider webs, if you want to.
3. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, then carefully peel back the paper and serve!
Candy corn is my favorite Halloween candy, so I love these Halloween treats. They are made with candy corn, and there are three layers to the cupcakes, just like actual candy corn. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
Ingredients:
Steps:
1. Prepare cake mix as directed on the package, and add the vanilla. Divide the batter in half, tinting one half yellow with 1/3 teaspoon of yellow food coloring and the other half orange with 1/4 teaspoon of yellow food coloring and 1/8 teaspoon of red food coloring.
2. Fill each paper-lined muffin cup 1/3 of the way full of yellow batter. Gently pour orange batter on top of the yellow, so the muffin cup is 2/3 of the way full. Bake as directed on the package for cupcakes. Cool the cupcakes on a wire rack.
3. Frost cupcakes. Decorate with sprinkles and candy corn. Enjoy!
These Halloween treats are just regular doughnuts that are made to look like vampires. You can buy the doughnuts already made, or you can make them yourself. This recipe is with store-bought doughnuts, so I hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients:
Steps:
1.Wedge a pair of plastic vampire teeth into the hole of each doughnut.
2. Use icing to make the eyes stick.
3. Add blood drips with red icing and the widows peak hairline with the black icing.
4. Return the doughnuts to the box and await your first victim!
Rice Krispie treats always make really awesome Halloween treats, especially when you make them in the shape of some Halloween character. These treats are made to look like mummies, which are really amazing Halloween figures. I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
Steps:
1.Insert one Popsicle or lollipop stick into the bottom of each Rice Krispie treat, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate them for 25 minutes.
2. Pour the white chocolate candy melts into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave in increments of 30 seconds, stirring occasionally until melted.
3. Remove the rice krispie treats from the refrigerator, and dip them in the chocolate. Use a spoon to completely coat them. Add two candy eyes.
4. Once the chocolate sets, remelt the remaining chocolate and put it in a disposable piping bag. Attach a flat frosting tip to the bag, and squeeze the chocolate on the mummy in a back and forth motion, creating the wrapping of the mummy.
5. Allow the chocolate to cool and firm before serving.
These Halloween treats are made with pretzel sticks and cheese sticks. They are really good, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like cheese. You will enjoy these snacks a lot, though, and they’re relatively healthy, too!
Ingredients:
Steps:
1. Cut the string cheese in thirds.
2. Insert a pretzel stick into one side.
3. Tie a chive around the top.
4. Pull the cheese strings up to the chives to make it look like a broom.
5. Enjoy!
