Halloween Essentials For The Quarantined Girl

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and even though it may look a little different this year, there are a few things that can make celebrating at home a little more fun. From someone who has a homebody before it was required due to Coronavirus, here are some essentials to ensure that you have a wonderful Halloween, even if you are stuck at home.

1. Hocus Pocus Candle

In general, candles are a staple in my daily life. They release an amazing scent and a warm glow into your living space. They just really allow me to fully relax and set the tone for a good day. So why not add a Halloween candle to your collection? This one is available on Etsy, from the store WaxonFire, which is perfect for a Halloween spent in quarantine. I mean, the candle is literally called Halloween in Quarantine! You can select your favorite scent from a list of over fifteen scents such as banana bread, clean laundry, coffee, sea salt & orchid, and white sage lavender. There are so many scents to choose from this Etsy shop, so there is definitely a scent that you are sure to fall in love with. You are also able to choose your desired size as well. The shop owner offers 2 ounces, 9 ounces, and 16-ounce candles, as well as wax melts, starting at $5.50, there is an option for everyone! Also, the illustrations of Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson on the front of this candle, allow it to double as an adorable decoration as well as something to make your home smell amazing.

2. A Spooky Sweatshirt

Staying home and social distancing for most of us means lounging around on the couch or working hard at your desk in sweats all day. The entirety of this quarantine has been spent, for the most part, in comfy clothes. Usually a random pair of running shorts or sweatpants paired with a sweatshirt or t-shirt that does not remotely match. This Halloween-themed crewneck from the Etsy shop MomShirt is the perfect addition to your collection of loungewear and will easily match with any neutral colored, stretchy bottoms you may own! It gives off the Halloween vibe with the color options, orange and black or gray and black, and of course, is topped off with the phrase “Let’s Get Spooky”, which is just the icing on the cake. This unisex crewneck is bound to make your Halloween movie marathons more spirited and of course,  a lot comfier! I mean, can it really get any better than this?

3. A Ghoulish Phone Case

As someone who is apart of the Gen Z population, I am completely obsessed with phone cases; they are a great accessory to be matched with any outfit and honestly something I have zero shame in spending my money on. If you are also into collecting tech accessories, why not treat yourself to a Halloween phone case? If you are going to be scrolling on your phone all of October from the comfort of your own home, you might as well get a spooky phone case in order to bring a little fun into your quarantined holiday! This adorable, purple phone case decorated with ghosts, witch hats, a bubbling cauldron, brooms, pumpkins, skulls, eyeballs, and of course a bunch of Halloween candy is also super affordable. This case is $17.99 on Amazon and eligible for Prime shipping, so do not wait around to snag this case for yourself! This phone case also looks as if it is pretty protective as well as incredibly cute. It has a raised lip that wraps around the screen of your phone and looks to have both a plastic and rubber layer to protect your phone if you accidentally drop it during your next Netflix binge. What more could you ask for?

The simple, neutral tweed material is a wonderful background for the crisp and clean-looking, black letters that spell out “Happy Halloween” and the black bows, as well as the ghost, spider, and pumpkin illustrations, make this banner a must-have Halloween decoration for your home this year. The banner comes in two separate pieces, one banner for each of the two words, which gives the banner a nice, layered look. Also, the neutral colors with just a pop of orange with the pumpkin illustration, allow this banner to seamlessly fit into to your usual, everyday home decor, while sufficiently spicing things up for this spooky holiday we call Halloween!
