Halloween tends to get a reputation of being a holiday for young kids, but why should the fun stop when you get older? Even if you’re well past the age of being able to go out trick-or-treating, there are still a ton of ways to have a good time on Halloween. In fact, Halloween is a great opportunity to have a date night with your significant other.

And Halloween is a holiday unlike any other, so it’s the perfect night to break free from the dinner date and movie theater date night mold. There are a ton of ways to have a great Halloween with your significant other.

Here are 10 Halloween date night ideas you should consider trying this year!

1. Halloween Movie Marathon

Halloween is the perfect time to watch scary movies with your SO. Curl up on the couch with them and put on your favorite scary movie. Find some classic scary movies on your streaming service of choice, or go rent the DVD if you’re looking for something more on the old fashioned side.

Not a big fan of scary movies? No problem! You can still have a movie marathon with your partner on Halloween. There are plenty of movies that can fit within the Halloween theme without being horror movies, like Beetlejuice or Ghostbusters.

2. Go To A Costume Party

Costumes are a quintessential part of Halloween, and there’s no reason you need to stop dressing up once you’re not a kid anymore. Dress up with your partner this year and head out to a costume party. There are a ton of options for fun couples costumes you can do together.

Even if you don’t have a party to go to this year, making costumes and dressing up with your partner for Halloween can be a really fun way to spend time with each other.

3. Carve Pumpkins

Here’s a perfect Halloween date if you or your partner are the artsy type and you’re looking for a fun craft to do together. Head out to the store or a local farm and pick up some pumpkins to carve. You can find carving kits at most stores and carving patterns and ideas online.

When you’re done carving, you’ll have some great decorations for your front porch. Light up your creations with a small candle or tealight. Carving pumpkins is a great way to spend time with your partner while also making some festive decorations.

4. Do A Corn Maze or Hayride

There are some great ways to get out of the house for Halloween dates with your partner. Do some research to see if a local farm does corn mazes or hayrides.
