For this summer we are seeing a lot of hairstyles gracing the runways that are mostly polished hairdos with an emphasis on the natural form. We have pulled back hairstyles that are quick for those short on time but who would still like a chic result, and others that are relatively easy to do. Hair accessories and adornments are also very prominent for the season with many options available. Here are some of the hairstyles that are trending for this summer!
Wet looks are great hairstyles for this summer that we are sure you’re going to love because of their easiness and versatility. You can try it after a day at the beach or at the pool, and if you haven’t been near a body of water recently you can still recreate this hairstyle at home. With your hair slightly damp, grab a dollop of pomade or styling gel and run it through the hair, then comb the sides and front backwards away from the face. Try not to put too much product, you’re not trying to make your hair hard and shiny but simply glossy.
Polished hairstyles are huge hairstyle trends for this summer. A sleek look with the hair pulled back into a neat and clean appearance is perfect to get that polished feel. In order to keep those wayward hairs from coming out you can add a little bit of pomade or hairspray to keep them in place. Add some hair oil to the ends of your hair for some sleekness and a healthy shine.
Hairstyles with the hair parted down the middle are also popular trends for this summer. Emphasizing the neat and polished feel, part your hair down the middle with a barber’s comb for a straight line. You can keep the hair hanging freely or pull the hair away from the face and tie it off low near your neck. Add some hair pins or hair clips on either side of your head for some added flare.
Braids are cute hairstyles that are now popping up for this summer. One simple braid tied off low to the nape or set high up on the head is the most prevalent braid trend out there now. To achieve the look, put a dollop of hair oil onto the ends of your hair and then brush your hair backwards to create a tight braid. If you would like to dress it up you can add a headband, headscarf, a scarf tie, or even some hair clips to accessorize it.
Micro fringes were in-style a couple years ago and never fully disappeared as an alternative hairstyle, but we see their emergence into mainstream fashion once again for this summer. In order to get a micro fringe, cut your bangs shorter than the length at which they would rest above your forehead, preferably above your eyebrows. You can straighten them to keep any wayward cowlicks at a minimum, as well as keep them neat by applying a little pomade or styling gel.
Add some waves to your hairstyles this summer and become a mermaid with your locks! Natural waves are most sought out after next to a tight pulled-back hairdo, so to get the look wash your hair or add some dry shampoo then brush the hair so there are no tangles. Add a dollop of pomade or mousse so the waves can retain their shape throughout the day but don’t put too much since you want them to be bouncy and soft, not hard with product.
